"Roman!"

Remus quite literally jumped over the stair wall and ran over to me and wrapped me up in the tightest hug I've ever had. I instinctively hugged him back.

"Please Remus, it's Princeton. Actually...you know what? I don't care. You guys can call me either. I've identified with both names for a long period of time that I'm okay with either."

I could feel his tears falling onto my shoulder as he started to let out breathy chuckles. That soon turned into giggling which turned into full body laughter.

He let go of me because he was just laughing waaaaay too hard.

"He's- he's here! He's actually here! Deceit! Deceit isn't that great?!"

He went back to a combination of laughing and crying on his knees on the floor. I sat down beside him and wrapped him up in a gentle and reassuring hug. I whispered into his ear,

"Shhh, it's okay. I'm not leaving this time, I promise. I'm so sorry I left you like that, I'll never do it again."

I repeated that a few times to make sure I got the point across to him and after a few minutes, he started to calm down. I let go of him when he was only sniffling and he wasn't crying anymore.

I looked back to Deceit still standing in the middle of the stairs, he hasn't moved in the slightest. I don't even think he's blinked.

I stood up from my spot on the floor and slowly moved my way up the stairs towards him and all he could manage to do was to turn his head and follow me with his eyes. Soon I was face to face with him. I slowly reached up and touched the scaley side of his face, but the moment I did he jumped up and surprised me with a hug.

"P-please don't leave u-us again."

I hugged him back as he started to sob into my shoulder.

He's a real softie at heart, just like a teddy bear with scales.

He always showed his emotions to us and sadly he's seen as someone who's cold and manipulative. Yeah he does that for the sake of his function, but personality wise, that's not true at all.

"I won't, not ever again. I promise."

He let go of me but he still buried his face is his hands.

I pulled his hands off of his face and replaced it with my own, wiping the tears he gathered in the process.

It really hurts to see these two hurt like this.

I couldn't help but to stare into his eyes. It didn't matter that they were different colors or the pupils were different shapes, both eyes had this soft look in them and I could tell it was genuine happiness. It also doesn't help that his snake eye is dilated like a cat eye and it's so adorable.

"Oh my god can you guys stop flirting with your eyes? It's making me sick."

Oh that's Remus for you.

I couldn't stop myself from laughing and Deceit got all huffy. He glided past me off the stairs and literally LUNGED at him.

Oh how I missed all of this.

"Remus I'm going to KILL YOU!"

Remus ducked and dodged his attempts to hurt him because he's shorter than the both of us which only made the whole dilemma that much more funnier.

Soon enough Deceit tired himself out and walked over to the couch to plopped down on it. I jumped down the remainder of the stairs and joined him. Remus laid across both of our laps just like we used to, with his head on Deceit's lap with his legs dangling over mine. The scene brought tears to my eyes.

Deceit looked over at me with soft eyes.

"Prince, are you okay?"

I wiped my tears as Remus looked up at me and started to sit up. Soon enough he was sitting on the other side of me with concern on his face.

"No it's fine guys, really. It's just, everything is taking me way back to the good times and it's just becoming a little overwhelming for me. I can't imagine how you two feel. You guys lost two family members one after another and I was just being selfish to leave you like that.

Their eyes also started to fill up with tears, but their facial expressions also became solemn at the mention of Virgil. Even though they told me that they didn't miss him as much as me (which is a little weird and mean but okay), that doesn't mean they don't miss him at all. Heh, wouldn't that be a treat, getting Virgil to come back? Then the family would back together. Yeah we'd still have our fights and arguments, like I know I'll have with these two, but that's because we're family and that's what families do.

I got up off the couch, slightly startling the other two but neither one of them protested against it. I slowly started to walk over to Virgil's hallway.

I flipped the light switch that sat right at the end of the hall.

It looked just as old, rundown, dusty, and dull like mine, except for the walls were a dull shade of purple unlike how mine was a dull shade of red. The other two appeared behind me with sad faces. It looks like this is going to be their first time coming down this hallway since he left.

We made our way down and eventually saw a picture hung up, just like in my hallway. Except this one is different, it's all of us sitting on the couch, just like how we were sitting a few minutes ago. Only here, Virgil is sitting on the back of the couch, leaning against the wall right to the left of me.

We kept going until we got to his room, at least the wall to where his room would be. Just like how my room situation was, the door disappeared after a certain time. But it's not like the other two would know, they haven't been down here in a while.

The three of us simultaneously put or hands on the wall, two gloved and one bare. And that's when Remus jumped off the wall and gasped, startling both me and Deceit.

"Roman! We need to go see your room!"

Okay okay okay! Here's an edit for you guys. I was debating on how this story shall end at some point, which apparently I don't know how to end things but it's going to happen eventually. I usually write what comes to mind and almost never have an end plan, but now I do because I just came up with a really good ending so you're welcome. Don't worry, there's still some parts left before I even get to where I want to end it.
