"W-wow! That's a great name, it really suits you, Janus."

Janus gave me a sheepish smile and I could see Remus out of the corner of my eye.

He was smirking and making a certain inappropriate hand motion toward the two of us. Janus, thankfully hasn't noticed yet.

"REMUS STOOOOP!"

I ran back toward him and jumped at him once again, but he dodged me this time.

After a few minutes of Janus trying to calm us down, we found the three of us laughing on the floor together after Remus grabbed his arm and pulled him down with us.

I stood up and brushed myself off.

"I'll be right back guys, I wanna look around the rest of the dark side."

The other two nodded as I walked out of my room and into my hallway.

I headed into the main living area and almost fell over because who I saw standing before me.

Virgil, Patton, and Logan were all standing in the middle of the room looking around.

I wanted to walk away and act like I didn't see them, but it was too late. I could see the other three look at me with relief in their eyes.

Quickly glancing behind me to make sure that Remus and Janus weren't there, I quickly and quietly walked up to them and started whisper shouting.

"What the hell are you guys doing here?!"

Patton gave me his signature stern dad face and quietly stomped his foot on the ground.

"We've come to get you! We need you home with us."

Logan put his hand on Patton's shoulder to quiet him.

"That, and we miss you Roman."

They- what???

I let out a breathy sigh and pinched the bridge of my nose.

"Well you guys can't be here, if they see you they're gonna freak."

That when I noticed Virgil's small stature. He looks so small despite only being a few inches shorter than me. It must be very hard for him to be here, especially how he doesn't get along well with Remus and Janus anymore.

The three of them didn't move a muscle and I let out another sigh, this one being a little louder than before.

"Guys, I'm sorry, but I'm not going back with you. I can't, I can't do that to them again. They missed me so much and they were hurting because of it."

Virgil's face contorted into a snarl.

"Are you kidding me?! We miss you! God we miss you so much! Look at poor Patton! He's so distraught and it looks like he's been stressed out of his mind! And look at Logan! Mr. Robot has been worried sick and hasn't been able to think straight! And look at me! Do I look like I've been happy you've been gone?! I've been panicking ever since you've left!"

Tears started forming in the corners of his eyes and so were mine.

"Listen, please just listen. We're so terribly sorry that we made you feel unwanted and unloved. And please don't blame these two, because they had no clue they were hurting you, but I, I should've know better."

He stepped forward, ignoring Patton's attempt to calm him down.

"I was the only one who knew what you were going through, and no matter how hard I tried to stop acting cold towards you, I just couldn't! I'm so sorry Roman!"

He turned his head to the sides to look at the other two for a slight second before turning back to me.

"We're so sorry."

I shouldn't believe what he saying right now. I really shouldn't, but something about the way he said it and the heartbreak on all of their faces told me that I should.

My mouth started speaking before my brain could even process anything that's happening.

"I... I forgive you guys, but I still can't leave. I've made a promise to these two, and I can't go around breaking anymore promises. I'm tired of running away. It's time that I finally stop and just accept everything around me. And besides, these two aren't as bad as they seem."

I directed the last sentence toward Virgil and he looked down at the ground. I can tell he still remembers all of the good times we've had with them.

I watched Specs move closer to Patton and whisper into his ear. Pat's eyes lit up and he excitedly pulled Stormcloud back to the two of them so they were in a small group huddle.

After about a minute or so of them whispering to each other, I decided to butt in.

"Secrets secrets are no fun, tell me now or else we're done."

Logan stepped up to me as the other two were bouncing with excitement.

"We were discussing that if you won't come back home with us, how about we all live together in one shared space, just like when Thomas was a child. It makes sense saying how we're all a proper function to Thomas, so we should be able to treat each other as such."

WHAT?!

Will that even work???

I mean, they seem to be in agreement, and everyone seems to want me in two places at once. No matter what side I choose to live as, I'll always be losing no matter what, so maybe we could pull this off. It'll be a win/win for me, but what about Janus and Remus?

"Princeton? Who's out there with you? We heard ta-"

At that moment, the two darker traits emerged from my hallway and stopped dead in their tracks the moment they made eye contact with the light sides. A snarl formed on Janus's face while Remus happily bounced over to the lighter sides to try to irritate or bother them.

"What are they doing here?!"

"Dee, listen, they've talked to me about how we should all live together in a shared space, just like when Thomas was a kid. We could all get to know each other better and treat each other like the sides to Thomas that we are. We're all the same so we should all treat each other the same."

He gave me a look of concern and I could hear Remus pipe up behind me.

"I'm all in!"

I turned around to see him somehow hanging upside down from the ceiling and dangling over Patton, who began to scold him and was telling him to get down.

Eventually he fell down and landed on his face, which caused everyone to laugh rather loudly.

I turned back to Janus to see that he was smiling. I think he's made up his mind.

"Oh alright, I'm in too."

The lighter sides cheered and I'm finally beginning to feel happy again.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:

Okay, so this story has strayed VERY far from my original plan, so once this story is over, I'm either going to make a separate alternate story with the same plot but a lot of it's going to be different, or I'm just going to add an alternate ending to this story starting around the middle of the story but I'm afraid that's going to be way too many parts.
