Thomas was practically shaking, since he couldn't help it because I was freaking out on the inside.
"What's wrong with me?!"
"Now now, Thomas. Please calm down. You're going to have to be a lot more specific than that."
Logan was only trying to get Thomas to calm down and to think more rationally, but he already knew the answer to the question that he asked.
"Everything is just...wrong!"
"Kiddo, what do you mean by 'wrong'?"
Patton decided to play along with Logan's little game.
"I don't know...I'm just...incomplete. Everything feels just like a part of me went up and died. I can't think of anything remotely fun and all my video ideas are coming up blank. I actually feel like going out and getting a job besides YouTube and just settling down for less."
Logan looked down as if he's ashamed. He must feel bad for putting those thoughts into his head as he knows youtube is what Thomas loves to do in life.
"I just feel like I'm having a creative block."
That's when Thomas's face became blank and he narrowed his eyes.
"Creative...creativity..."
He glanced over to the corner beside the stairs that has the TV in it. The other two sides and I have each share suspicious glances. He's figuring it out.
"Where's Roman?"
The three of us flinched a little as he brought him up. We knew were were going to have to tell him sooner or later.
He directed his gaze towards me.
"Virge? You've been awfully quiet, do- do you know where Roman is?"
My anxiety spiked and I could tell that was starting to effect Thomas as well so I took a deep breath before I spoke.
"Thomas...he...Roman went...home."
This took Thomas back. He stared at me blankly trying to connect the dots in his head that were scattered everywhere and didn't make a specific pattern.
"What do you mean 'home'?"
I gave a little sigh because I didn't really want to explain it again, so I looked to the other two for help but they both shook their heads. It would probably be best if I explained because I know the story better.
After the long process of explaining the whole situation once again and answering Thomas's questions, Thomas looked pale. The three us us glanced at each other with concern and Logan stepped forward.
"Thomas? Are you alright? You don't seem too well."
Thomas stumbled backwards a little bit.
"Yeah I'm fine, I just need to sit down for a minute."
He practically fell down onto the couch with a huff.
"It's just...it's a lot to take in. I just can't believe...it's all been a lie."
He started to...laugh? He then started to get this angry look on his face.
"I can't believe it...He lied to me! AND he was a dark side!"
My breath hitched and my shoulders tensed. That was not the reaction I was looking for. And I was a dark side, and he knows that. He spat it out as if that made Roman the scum of the Earth. Tears started to form in my eyes.
Patton looked at me and I could see his fatherly instincts kick in. He stepped toward Thomas beside Logan.
"Now kiddo, Roman was only 'lying' to protect you and so you'd accept him. He was scared, Thomas. And once it came out that Virgil used to be a dark side, that only scared him more because he knew how you felt about lying. And being a dark side can't be all that bad, right? I mean we got Virgil and Roman out of it, so that's a 50/50!"
