Chapter 2 - What The Hell?

'Alyssa. You remember Leo. What am I saying, of course you do. They were in the same year.' My mother said as we sat down. My mom opposite Leo's mom, my dad opposite Leo's dad, Lilly next to my dad and Sarah opposite her and me opposite Leo. The waiter came and took our drink order. While we were waiting, our parents talked about what had happened in mine and Leo's lives since we had left school.
'Well done with Titanic by the way.' I mumbled.
'Thanks.' He replied. I had a good feeling that those were the only polite words we were going to say to each other. Soon, our drinks arrived. Wine for the parents, Sarah and Leo, cola for me and lemonade for Lilly.
'Okay then. Now for the big news.' Leo's mother said, before looking around the table. I took a sip of coke.
'Leo. Alice. Your engaged.' My mother said. The coke went straight down my windpipe as I gasped. Droplets entered my lungs and I coughed to get them out. I felt Lilly hitting my back as hard as she could (not hard but still) and soon, I could breath again. I saw as Kennedy marched from the restaurant, follod by Blue, which meant it was my turn.
'Alyssa May Bellwood. Sit down this instant.' My mom said sternly. I turned on my heel.
'No.' I said before exiting the restaurant. Just as I was about to exit the car park, someone grabbed my wrist and spun me around
'How DARE you embarrass me like that? Do you see Leo getting up and storming off? No. Because he knows how to behave in public!' My mother almost yelled at me.
'Mom he was the one who caused all the crying! Him, Paul Rudd and Tobey Maguire bullied me all the way through secondary school! And now you're making me marry him? How rucked up is that?' I asked. My mother was speachless. 'Just give me some space you selfish bitch!' I yanked my arm away and marched home, tears threatening to spill over my eye lids.
As soon as I was back through the door, I threw my shoes into my box and ran upstairs. I slipped out of the dress, tied my hair up, pulled on an oversized shirt and some joggers, took of my make up and jewellery and lay down on my bed.

'ALYSSA MAY BELLWOOD! YOU ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE YOUNG LADY!' My mother's voice echoed through the house. My door opened and my parents walked in, each carrying five cardboard boxes.
'What the hell?' I asked.
'You and Leo are moving in together! Tomorrow morning. You pack up here, Sarah's doing the bathroom and me and your father will do all your stuff from downstairs.' My mother explained before walking out.
'Alice, sweetheart. Please understand that you and Leo have been engaged since you started college. Your mother is going through a lot of stress lately and we just need you to co operate.' My dad explained. I sighed and nodded. He kissed my forehead and walked downstairs. I put on Queen and started to pack up my bedroom. And the tears that I was holding in earlier silently fell down my cheeks.

It took me three hours and a hell of a lot of Queen, but I soon had my bedroom packed up. I turned out the light and got into bed. As soon as my eyes closed, I was asleep.
