I was walking to my first period class the next day when someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into the janitor's closet. I freaked out and kicked the person where the sun doesn't shine. I hear a grunt and then the light turned on.

"What the hell Alex? You can't go grabbing people and pulling them into a dark area!" I yell.

"Shhhhh! Be quiet! I have to ask you something." he says urgently.

"Okay, what do you need to ask me?" I respond impatiently.

"Will you go on a date with me?" he asks smiling.

"No! Especially not after you scared the shit out of me." I say glaring at him. I open the door and walk out without looking back. I take a seat in my class when I feel my phone vibrate.

Alex: Will u go on a date with me?

Me: No

Alex: Plz?

Me: No. Now leave me alone.

I ignore the next text he sent me and concentrate on what the teacher was saying. Every ten minutes I could feel my phone vibrate with a new text that was probably from Alex.

After school I go up to my room. There were 97 texts from Alex and in each one he was asking me to go on a date with him. I ignored him again and worked on my homework for a couple of hours. Around six o'clock I hear a knock on my door. It opens and reveals Alex holding a bouquet of flowers. I glare at him and dare him with my eyes to say something.

"Get out." I say curtly. He walks over to me and kneels down on one knee.

"Kat will you PLEASE go on a date with me?" he begs.

"No." I say turning away from him.

"Please?" I hear him ask again. I turn around and he is still kneeling but this time he is using puppy dog eyes and pouting. Curse him and his adorableness.

"Fine." I say defeated.

"Yay! Do you want to go now?" he celebrates.

"Sure. Just let me grab some shoes." I say getting up and heading over to my closet. I open it and grab my blue pair of converse to match my tight, blue V-neck shirt and my jeans. We go downstairs and I tell my mom that I am going out. I get in on the passenger side of Alex's 2007 Dodge Charger.

"So where are we going?" I ask.

"I was thinking we could go get something to eat, then head over to the movies." he suggests.

"Sounds good!" I say. A few minutes later we pull into the Five Guys parking lot. It's amazing how much Alex already knows about me. I absolutely love Five Guys! We order our food and sit down at a table near the window.

"So what are you planning on doing after high school?" he asks me.

"Go to college for a few years then hopefully get accepted into the FBI." I say honestly.

"The FBI? That's a bit intense." he says.

"I know. I just want to help people, but I don't want to be a doctor and I've always fantasized about beating up the bad guys and protecting my country. So FBI it is!" I answer.

"Wow." he says slightly surprised.

"So what are you going to do after high school?" I ask him.

"Culinary school. I want to eventually open up my own restaurant." he says.

"Really? That's awesome. I've always loved baking, I'm not a big fan of making entrees." I say with a grin.

"Maybe one day you could bake dessert and I can make dinner." he says a little bashful.
