I woke up the next morning feeling really nervous about the meeting that night with the band. I really wish I didn't agree to go. Maybe I can tell Alex something came up and I can't make it anymore.

But if I do end up going and they have me sing and I totally bomb it they will laugh and I will never be able to show my face around any of them again.

I figure I'll talk to the girls at lunch and they can help me. Although I'm pretty sure they will say I should go. I know Elizabeth will say that she will threaten me with a knife if I don't go. She's very violent when it comes to things like this.

I pick up Mackenzie and Blake and they immediately notice that something is wrong. "What's up with you this morning?" Mackenzie asks.

"I don't want to talk about it right now, I will at lunch though." I respond.

"What so your just gonna keep us in suspense for half the day?" Blake says in outrage.

"Yea pretty much." I answer.

We get to school and take our seats in homeroom. I hope and pray that Alex doesn't say anything about last night or tonight in front of the girls.

Right when I finish that thought he walks in and sits beside me. Thankfully he doesn't say anything to me and minds his own business.

"So how's it going with you and your boy?" Mackenzie asks Blake. Blake blushes and says "Oh you know we are doing fine. He's the sweetest." she smiles as she talks. Blake dates the star wide receiver on the football team. How that happened no one knows.

However we do know that the Queen of Bitches is very jealous and always tries to pick on anyone in our little group.

But none of us takes crap so we just throw it right back at her. Her Bitchiness' name is actually Marie, but we never call her that.

Homeroom comes and goes and I still haven't had to talk to Alex. Thank god!

Blake and Mackenzie are still bugging me about telling them but I just keep saying "no".

I walk into English and Mrs. Duncan gives us our first book report. We have to read To Kill A Mockingbird and write a 1,000 word essay on what the book taught us about the Great Depression and the tensions between whites and blacks, and also explain what we thought of that time. Thankfully I already read that book and I only have to write the essay. I'm pretty confident I will do good on it. I spend English writing down a short list on what I learned from the book.

Lunch comes and I head out to the tree where my friends are. "So NOW will you tell us what the hell is going on?" Blake yells.

"Yes, but it's a sorta long story." I say.

"I really don't care just explain to us what happened." Blake demands.

"So after I dropped off Mackenzie it started pouring down rain. I was driving down the road and I saw someone walking just a little bit ahead of me. I get closer to the person and realize that it's Alex so I pull over and offer him a ride. He accepts and then Ignorance by Paramore comes on the radio, and you guys know how I can't not sing along to that song," I see them all nod their heads and I continue, " so I start singing along and when the song is over I look at Alex and his jaw is dropped. Like I thought he was about to start drooling. I tell him sorry and that I can't help it. He says that I shouldn't be sorry and he invites me to meet his band. I ask him why and he says he wants me to be the new lead singer but he has to introduce me to the band so they can all make a decision." I end my story and look around at them.

"So when are you meeting the band?" Meredith asks.

"Uh tonight, but I don't know if I want to anymore." I admit. "WHAT? You have to go!" Audrey yells.
