"Is there anything else you need Mr. Stark?" I asked Tony, who was entirely focused on whatever tech he was developing.

Without looking up, he said, "Nope, I'm all set for now. Why don't you go check on your boyfriend, Capsicle? It's really late, I'm sure he's going to bed."

A wide smile appeared on my face as I nodded and went off to find Steve.

Approaching his room, I could hear him shuffling across the floor as drawers opened and closed.I knocked softly on his bedroom door, quietly saying, "Steve?"

"Come in," I heard him echo from the inside.

Turning the knob, I cautiously opened the door. My eyes set on a shirtless Captain, and they quickly fell out of embarrassment, however trailing back up quickly to catch a glimpse of the super soldier. His shoulders were wide, and muscles bulged from his chest in Walking in, I turned to the dresser to grab a sweatshirt as he watched me avoid him. "Everything alright?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm just-" I turned around while speaking to find he had moved directly behind me, and I was face to face with his chest. My eyes quickly found his face. "What was that for, Rogers?"

He looked down at me, assisting in pulling the sweatshirt over my head. "Why are you in a sweatshirt? It's not that cold."

"Sorry, I wasn't frozen in ice for almost 70 years, I have a different definition of cold." He grabbed a blue, v-neck t-shirt from the counter and slipped it on, following me towards the bed.

I kneeled on the bed as he placed himself normally in his spot. "Sleeping with me for the night?"

"Tony's orders..." I giggled as he smiled at my remark, head nodding me over to him. Cuddling against his side, my head fell onto his shoulder as he pulled the blankets up around us.

"Do you want to go out tomorrow and do something? New York is beautiful during the day, I thought we could walk around the parks and-" I interrupted him.

"I actually prefer New York City at night, everything's more alive..." His expression fell towards the other side of the room. I gazed at him and added, "But I guess exploring New York during the day would be different."

He turned back and smiled. "And I'd be willing to tour nighttime in the big apple with you."

I turned to look at his eyes. They were a light, hazy blue, and contained a sense of history reflecting the super soldiers past in the war. "What are you staring at?" He asked, laughing slightly.

"Your eyes, they're mesmerizing."

"You're one to talk, your eyes are sparkling brown."

I laughed and turned away. "The color of shit."

"Language-" He interrupted me.

I glared at him and continued to laugh. His innocence always amused me. "Nice try."

"Our eyes are different types of mesmerizing," he added. "It's beautiful that even though our eyes are different colors, we see fine."

My eyes wandered to the window and I whispered, "We don't even know why."

He took a deep breath and we fell asleep in each others arms. He was warm and protecting, I felt safe there.

My eyes fluttered open as Taylor Swift blasted from his alarm clock. I turned to grab his arm but realized he was already up. Steve through open the curtains, causing me to flip over onto my stomach.

"Steve, it's so early, close the curtains."

"It's time to wake up."

Turning to the alarm clock, it said 7 AM- much earlier than I'm used to. Well, if he wants me to wake up, I might as well be as awake as I can be.

"We, are never ever ever, getting back together!" I sang along loudly to the song on the radio, jumping on onto the balls of my feet on the bed. "You go talk to your friends talk to my friends talk to me. But we-e are never ever ever-"

Steve quickly shut the alarm clock off while I wasn't looking. I looked at him frustrated and whispered, "getting back together."

"You know I'm not that much into singing, but you are pretty cute," Steve said as he walked over to his dresser to look for todays outfit.

"I don't understand how you don't sing along to songs like that. They're catchy for a reason."

"I much prefer dancing..." He said looking down at the locket he left on his dresser.

"How do you even like me?" I asked bluntly.

"What? He said, looking back up at me, caught off guard.

"It's literally like fire and ice- pun intended, Capsicle. We're complete opposites. Why do we work." I pulled myself up and sat criss cross in the middle of the bed.

"I'm not entirely sure..." He looked down at his feet, guilty that he didn't have a real answer. "I guess that's one thing we have in common though," he said, smirking back at me. Our eyes connected and I latched onto his ocean eyes.

He walked over at a slow, crawling pace, not removing his eyes from mine. He reached the bed, his right hand finding my hip, his left holding my cheek. Leaning down, our lips latched, and our souls were suddenly in perfect harmony.

As we disconnected, our eyes stayed locked on each others. I concluded while grinning, "We work so well, and we don't even know why..."
