I walked into the lounge to find Steve, Tony, Nat, Bruce, and Clint scattered throughout. Steve was cooking some midguardian dish, Tony was on his cellular device at the table, Nat and Clint were on the couch conversing, and Bruce was on his laptop near Tony.

"Hello, fellow Avengers," I said with a bellowing tone. "Might I ask where Lady Mary resides this morning?"

"She's at a meeting with SHIELD until two, and then she was gonna work on a junk car in the garage... did you need her?" Tony replied without making eye contact.

"Well, yes, I was hoping to start the courting process today."

The team froze at my statement. Was courting not a thing on Midguard?

Nat quickly asked, "What do you mean 'courting'?"

"I think he means dating," Steve interrupted. "I was confused too, that term was just slang back then."

"Does she know you're going to court her?" Clint asked, amused by the conversation.

"No, I am taking a chance here. But she wouldn't reject a God, would she?" I was nervous, but still confident in my ability to woo women.

The men in the room in unison replied, "Yes she would."

"Please," I responded, giggling nervously. "I'm Thor, for crying out loud."

"And I'm Tony Stark, genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. She rejected me twice."

"I'm a super soldier in a uniform, couldn't get past the first date."

"Wasn't too interested in intimacy after 3 dates..." Clint said.

"You guys went on dates? I asked her out and she laughed," Bruce replied.

"Anyways, Pointbreak," Tony continued. "I wouldn't go for her. She's like, kissaphobic or something."

"Is that like a midguardian disease?" I asked curiously.

Clint laughed, "No, she just has trust issues. Won't get too close."

I screwed a bolt in under the hood of the car, as tight as I could. It could go down further, but it wasn't budging.

At the entrance of the garage I heard a faint noise. Without looking up, I reached for the dagger in my boot and gripped it tight. Someone entered, knocking something over, and I threw the dagger towards the direction. Sounding like I hit a piece of metal, I looked to see a large man putting something back where it was. It was Thor.

"Sorry about that," I said. "Thought you were an intruder or something."

He reached down and picked up the dagger, handing it to me. "Impeccable aim."

Luckily, the weapon didn't hurt him since he was wearing his chest plate and cape. "Why all dressed up?"

"What? Me? Dressed up?" He looked down at his armor in disbelief. "This is what I normally wear," he flirted.
