I was 8 years old when my mother died of cancer. I was 8 years old when I was forced to live out the rest of my childhood with my grandfather. I was 8 years old when I lost my twin brother to aliens. Not like anyone believes the last part, though.
Our father had taken Peter's Walkman from him and led us into the hospital room. My mother lay there sick, helpless. She had asked why Peter fought with the other boys. He was different, so was I. She gave us each a present and assured that we were going to be taken care of. The heart monitor went flat as her life left her body, and our grandfather rushed us out of the room. Peter screamed as I stood there with an emotionless stare. He walked back to the room as I grabbed Peter by the hand.
Peter shrugged my hand away and ran. Of course, I followed him. He exited the hospital and I found him outside. It was pitch black, except for the light of the moon. "Peter!" I screamed. "Get back here! Now!"
He kept running. I finally saw him stop in the middle of the field. Suddenly, noise blasted from the sky as a circle illuminated Peter on the ground. I stopped and quickly hid behind a tree. Peter looked up, scared, I couldn't save him. I tried focusing on the light, and realized it was a spaceship of some sort. A cylinder of light surrounded Peter as he disappeared, and the space ship flew off.
That was the last time I saw Peter. And that's all I have to say about that.

"Tony, what the hell are we supposed to do?" I asked as him, staring at our crashed ship. I turned off the music in my suit, although frustrated because it was the Piña Colada song. Tony had made a tape player in my suit so that I could use the mixtape my mother made me.
The kid hung upside down from his webs and said seriously, "Let me just say, if aliens end up implanting eggs in my chest or something, and I eat one of you, I'm sorry-"
Tony interrupted him, "I do not want another single pop culture reference out of you for the rest of the trip, you understand?"
A sphere of light exploded in the middle of us. I engaged my helmet and got into a fighting stance as soon as I caught my footing. A large alien-looking man screamed "THANOS," as a group came running at us. Doctor's cape flew off on the large alien. Tony fought the masked, flying man in the air. He engaged a piece of tech that he stuck on his suit and trapped Tony onto the side of the ship. I looked over to see the Mantis girl scaring the kid as he webbed her, until he was suddenly kicked to the side by the masked man. Oh hell no, don't mess with my kid.
He shot at the kid while I shot my respulsers at the masked man. He caught him in a headlock while pointing a gun at me and I froze. Tony broke free.
Suddenly, the masked man spoke. "Everybody stay where you are. Chill the eff out." He quickly pressed a button on his mask, revealing his face. "I'm gonna ask you this one time: Where is Gamora?"
Tony replied snarkily, removing his mask, "Yeah, I'll do you one better: Who's Gamora?"
The alien man beneath Tony responded, "I'll do you one better: Why is Gamora?"
