"Peter, I can't believe it's been an entire year since the whole Vulture incident." I held the phone close to my ear as my eyes roamed my closet.
"Yeah..." He trailed off nervously. "I just hope nothing like that happens tonight. I want it to be perfect."
"Yeah, one sec," I pause him, covering the microphone. "Friday, can you select my red homecoming dress?"
"Right away, Miss Stark."
I lifted the phone back to my ear, "Sorry about that Peter, have to get ready."
He giggled at how early it was. "It's ok. Is... your dad driving us?"
"Yes, he wants to drive us. He said we'll pick you up in about 1 hour."
Peter became silent on the other end. I watched as my wardrobe spun mechanically to the special dress I had set aside. "I can't wait, I'll see you then."
We hung up the phone and I threw mine to my bed. Tonight was going to be a night to remember.

"Don't kill Peter, Dad, " I said from the back seat. He lifted his hand from the wheel shrugging and hit it lightly.
He bluntly told me, "No promises."
We pulled up to Peter's apartment complex and waited about a minute before the door hesitantly opened to reveal Peter in a pristine tux. It wrapped all his curves and edges, while his hair was slicked to compliment his face structure. He was effortlessly perfect.
Stumbling to the car, he managed to get in without falling on his face. "Hi, Mr. Stark," He said, trying to make eye contact with my dad who was not having it.
Peter adjusted himself in the seat as he fidgeted his fingers in his lap. Finally looking at me, he managed to stutter, "You look really nice, Jane."
I smiled at his comment before my dad interrupted, "You mean she looks beautiful." Peter quickly shut up and went back to being uncomfortable.
The car ride remained uncomfortably silent, until we finally pulled up to the school. Peter went to get out so he could open the door for me, except my dad held up his hand and turned his head slightly. "Jane, you may exit the vehicle. I would like a word with Spider boy."
Giving Peter a sympathetic look, I thrust the car door open and shut it gently. I walked to the front of the door and waited patiently. It was difficult to see what was happening because of the tinted windows on the car. I swear to god if my dad kills him-
