Hunted

Chapter 20

Hunter's P.O.V. 

"Can you get us in there?" I questioned while looking at Althea. I didn't know much about witches or their powers, but I could only hope that she could help us get everyone out. 

"The only thing I can do is make us invisible. I can't teleport them out because I have no idea how many I'm getting out or where they even are to find them," she stated. 

"I've got Lola's spray that will masks our scents," Donte says noncholantly. Canow and I throw him a questioning look, not knowing why his mate has that spray but also thankful that we can us it to get them out. 

"She use to be quite the handful at first and if I ever took my eyes off her she would us it and hide from me," he stated. I let out a small chuckle while recalling the first time that they had met. In the middle of the fight and she was trying to fight Donte off but he wouldn't let her go. She was also a better fighter than him and could easily whip his ass to the ground as long as the mate bond didn't stop her. 

"How long can the spell last?" Greg asked. 

"Invisibility is tricky, I give it a good twenty minutes before it wears off," she stated while holding her staff. I shook my head while trying to think about where they could be in this large castle. 

"Ok, we can get in but how can we find them?" Canow questioned. 

"Let the mates lead the way?" I suggested. 

"No, that might not work in case those bloodsuckers are covering their scents or they're weak," Paxton stated. 

"I know where the dungeon is if we want to try there first," Thane suggested. I looked at him, curious how he knew where the dungeon was when we weren't even inside or had been inside yet. 

"My wife has been captured before, it's the only place I know of that Vladimir would be able to keep so many people in one spot," Thane stated. 

"Alright, then we try the dungeon and bring everyone home," I said. Donte started spraying everyone while Thane, Dustin, Arthur, Paxton, Miles, and Ted all grabbed their weapons and had them at the ready. 

"Everyone ready?" Althea asked. Once everyone shook their heads yes she started chanting words in a language I didn't know. I noticed a blue light circle around all of us before I couldn't see anyone else in front of me. 

"Althea, you forgot to mention that we can't see anyone else," I growled, thinking that this was going to be a problem. We all have heightened senses and hopefully won't do anything stupid. 

"Move in," Thane said. 

Audra's P.O.V. 

Dana seemed to be very cautious with me around, but I couldn't blame her. She had no idea who I was meanwhile I couldn't recall why I recognized her a little, but even I couldn't remember where I had seen her from. 

"So where are we?" I questioned. Dana had just put the baby to sleep while she looked a little tired herself, but she also didn't look that old. She still looked like she was just a child and looked as if she wanted to sleep. 

"This was once a beautiful house until it was destroyed. The family went into hiding and I'm not sure who but someone rebuilt the house. Even everything that was in the original house," she explained while her eyes started to close little by little. I didn't say another word and just let her sleep. 

"Whose house?" I questioned while noticing a small carving in the walls. 

"The family of the original hunters, the Coupes. I heard that their house was destroyed due to all the vampire and deamon attacks but I'm not sure why," Dana explained while walking around. I was able to make out that the carving leading towards rooms read 'Coupe'.
