Carnias POV

He took slow steps forward as I slowly step back, before I know it I was between the door and Xavier. I couldn't help but feel my body tense up and hotten.

"Xavier what are you doing?" I ask trying to get away from him.

"Don't you understand marshmallow? I want everyone to know that you are mine... And that means no one can flirt with you or I'll poke their eyes out, understood?" He grabs my hand and went to a room where he called people... Not even 5 minutes later reporters come in, all the employees and I'm not saying a couple it was a crowd.

"Xavier what's happening?" I ask tightening his hand as I felt a sense of worry.

"Don't worry marshmallow, leave it to me" he said and stood up welcoming the everyone.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen, sorry for making everyone get here in such a hurry, but I do appreciate that lots of yous made it. Today I'm here to officially announce my relationship with my girlfriend Carnia Sunny, she will soon be my wife and so I just wanted to let you know that I am now a taken man and she is a taken woman, so I don't want anyone to flirt with me nor my wife thank you!" He then took my hand and led me to his office

I'm here trying to process everything, wasn't this contract marriage thingy just between us so other people don't know that we are married? Aren't we doing this in secret?
Then I got woken up from me talking in my head to a Xavier pressing his lips against mine.

"What are you doing?" I say pushing him away

"What's wrong marshmallow? Oh right of course, your shocked aren't you----"

"Of course I am, isn't our contract only for us to know, like the fact that we are married is only for us and your mother to know? How come you just announced it to the world that I'm your wife and now everyone thinks it's real." I say now realising the consequences I have made.

"Aren't we a couple now? We just started our relationship carnia, that means I can announce it" he said trying to prove his point but his point is stupid.

"Xavier we 'JUST' started our relationship and now your telling me that I have become your wife? How does that make any sense?" I started to get angry.

"Carnia you have to understand that I'm doing this out of love... I love you" he said taking a step closer to me

"I think we shouldn't even have started this relationship Xavier, I think we should just stick to the contract..."

"Bullshit carnia what the FUCK! Why would you say that?" He said, eyes red and his breathing pulse fastening.

"We should stick to the contract, now isn't the time thinking about love but a time to please your mum before her days disappear..." I say looking down now remembering that I can't live that long either so I need to fulfil his wish and mothers final wish...

Xavier's POV

What the fuck is she on about? I mean I guess she has a point. I want to tell her the truth that my mother isn't actually dying but how?... How do I explain it without sounding like a creep? Ugh fuck it I'll just agree with her... Besides I still have  what 6 months? To make her fall in love with me again so it's all good.

"Fine we should stick to the contract" I say trying to hold myself back from saying anything further.

She nods and walks back to her office. The whole day was quiet at work especially since carnia didn't even enter my office once... She would give the documents to another person to bring it in rather than personally her. I can't take this anymore, I need to act tough and arrogant to show her that she has made the wrong choice. I stormed into her office and said.

"Miss Sunny I need you to keep work and life problems seperated, don't let one affect the other and do your job properly." Realising that I was in her face practically yelling at her. Her eyes became watery but it quickly got back in and she replied

"Sir I wasn't, my ankle got twisted as I walked back in my office getting a cup of coffee for myself."

"Oh" was all I can say, I guess I was assuming things the whole time, dumbass!

I'm so sorry guys if some chatpers sentences don't makes sense... It's because I'm writing this in bed before I sleep, so about 11:30pm ish and so I dont really concentrate.  I will try to edit here and there but I don't promise it,😂 anyways hope your day goes well♥️
