Xavier's POV

I can't believe I fuck things up, I should have know that Carnia isn't that type of person who let's things get in her way of what she does in her everyday life. How could I have acted so rationally?

"Can you please leave mr knight? I'm still trying to complete your schedule for next week" her tone of voice sounded so annoyed and pissed, it was like as if she could, she would pounce at me if I say another word that will go against her.

I sped walked towards her and picked her up. "What are you doing let go!" Her legs kicking in the air.

"Your coming with me now shut up, I  have had enough of your attitude today Carnia!"

I carried her through the building where every employee that saw us kept on staring and whispering. I then placed her in my car in the passengers seat next to me. "Tell me why are you angry?"

"I made a mistake saying that we should start.... You know the relationship, I think it's best to leave it as it is and continue with the contract we have agreed to."

"And why is that?" I ask trying to lure what's going through her mind.

"It's to difficult, you and me is a no no... We are too different, it's like we are from two different worlds and so we should stay like that."

What is she saying? Why all of a sudden?!? This has no logic... "That's not an acceptable reason Carnia so no, unless you find an actual reason then I will follow the contract."

"It's because I don't want to be judge by the people around me Xavier, don't you understand? I want a normal life... Not one with someone higher up than me and feel judged.." she looked down to her feet

"When your around me no one dares to judge you I swear Carnia, just bare with me Carnia." I am trying to make this work after the hurt I had gone through for 3 years and even now she's trying to push me away... Why?

"I don't know Xavier.... I think we should just follow the contract for now and later on see how we go" she looked up and our eyes met...

Carnia POV

I looked up and our eyes met, I froze as I sense him leaning close to me and before I know it, his face was centermetres away from mine... He looked up at me once and crashed his lips onto mine, it sent sparks all the way through my body as he put his hand behind my back and pulled me in closer. Not realising that I'm responding to his kiss... Our lips were so in sync that it felt so unreal, I love the way his tongue moves and his warm hand on my back.

He pulls back for a breath... "I love you so fucking much Carnia... Why can't you see it?" He loves me but why? Because I was his past? Or because I am his new toy?

"Xavier i--i--- don't know how to respond to that" I say seeing him chuckle.

"It's ok I'm confused to, all I know is I love you and now it's up to you to decide whether we shall become husband and wife or not?"

"Yes! For your mother's sake yes I will" I see his frown as if he wasn't the reason why I am marrying him. His mother is such a lovely lady and she deserves the all before she passed away.

"Xavier don't be like that I just need time like we all do you know?"

"Fine we will follow the god damn contract and I will get an answer in a week's time to make this official or no"

"Ok" I simply replied not knowing what else to say.

"I will send over the wedding planner this afternoon and sit with you to see what is your ideal wedding ok?"

"Yes" and that's when he drove me home and 3 hours later the wedding planner came.

"Hi Mrs knight I am your wedding planner guide and I'm here to help you plan for your wedding, I'm chloe by the way"

"I'm Carnia, just call me Carnia I'm not use to the Mrs yet especially knight part."

"I understand Carnia well now what type of style or theme would you like your wedding to be?"

I thought for a while and then answered "just a small simple wedding"

"Carnia you do know this wedding has up to 1000 people attending right?"

"WHAT!!?" I say my mouth droped right open. "Uh I guess I'll have to talk to Xavier about this since I'm hopeless with decision making"

I called Xavier and on the first ring he picked up "Xavier I don't know what to do with the wedding can you help me out?"

"I'm on my way back so just stay there" and he hangs up the phone, well I guess I'll have to stay here and awkwardly wait with the chloe.

"You guys must have known each otherr for a very long time right?" She asked as I look up with a confused face. I guess I need to tell the true but a bit of a lie.

"No i met him like a month ago."

" Oh so you must have fallen pregnant?"

"Excuse me? What do you think I am, baby producer? A sex machine? Come on... No I didn't." I wanted to slap her, how could she have said something like that?

"Oh sorry Carnia I went a little over board"

"What over board?" In came Xavier with a furious face...
