Fifty-nine

SEMAJPOV:

I was happy I was bringing a baby girl in this world. I knew Prince would be the best big brother ever. I couldn't be more happy with what God blessed me with. When we got home later that night. Trina and I laid cuddled up in bed after some amazing shower sex.
"Semaj I am really happy for you and I'm on your side even though I might sometimes act like I'm not. I really do love you I just don't want to lose you again." Trina looks me in my eyes and I almost felt I knew for why she was acting the way she was acting.
"I want you to know that as long as you stand by me and take care of my son I got you and I ain't going no where."
"You promise?"
"I promise."
"I love you Semaj."
"I love you too Trina."
We held each other until we fell asleep. I was up early because I had some business to handle before I go meet Nana for a doctors appointment. I woke up and didn't see Trina and Prince so I began to worry. I called Trina but no answer I figured she went out and took Prince. I didn't sweat anything. When I got to the club I got straight to work.

I was making sure my numbers were in order. I wanted to make sure that my money was good before I go out of town with Trina on a secret vacation.
I finally got a text from my mother telling me that Trina dropped off Prince so I knew that he did go out with her. I went to her house to go get Prince to take him with me.

"He was telling me the things he wanted for Christmas." My mom said.
"Yeah dad I want a bike." Prince explained jumping on me.
"I gotchu little man. But Ma I love you and I'll call you when I get in the house. I'm taking Prince with me to the mall."
"Alright y'all have fun. And Prince behave. Maybe you'll get that bike."
"Okay Grandma."
"Give me some sugar." After Prince finished saying goodbye to his grandmother, we went to the mall. I had a little surprise for my first born. I walked him around the mall buying him more sneakers and clothes and other toys he wanted. After shopping for a little while we got hungry for some pizza.
"Daddy I love you this much." Prince had his arm wide open to the sky. I smiled. It warmed my heart how close my son and I was, facing the fact that I was a busy man and my father never taught me how to be a man cause he wasn't there.
"I love you too son."
"I miss Nana."
"You saw her yesterday but I'm pretty sure she'll probably come pick you up so you can stay at her house."
"Yayyy!" He jumped around and cheered.

After eating I took him to his big surprise which was our last store. I was going out of town with Trina and I need some nice icy jewelry to match my attire. I also had a nice little special piece for Prince.
"Daddy you getting another watch?" Prince asked.
"Maybe. But I got you a surprise in here."
"Really?"
When we got to the counter the lady brought back all the jewelry I had already purchased a head of time. I picked up the chain that read Prince and showed it to him and had one of the  biggest smiles on his face.
"This is you little piece of ice."
"Thanks Daddy." Prince kissed and hugged me and I couldn't help but feel like a proud dad. After shopping I took Prince to the block with me and I was chillin with me and Maniac. Then out of the blue some police cars came burning down to on us. I had Prince in my hands but they had guns in all our faces. I was pissed.
"Watch my son!" I screamed. The female officer took my son to ride with her. I turned over to to see Maniac being put in cuffs and in back of the cop car. I didn't know what the fuck was going on but I knew something wasn't right. This had to be a mistake.

I set in the interrogation room for hours until they came in to question me. I sat in silence.
"Semaj you have no way out of this your going down for the murder of Ashanti Moore. You and your little buddy." The detective said. Throwing a folder of pictures of the girl from the club that night of the shooting. I was fucked.
"I want a lawyer." I said without a doubt I was not saying shit that would put my black ass away for life.
"Okay you're going down for second degree murder."
