Noah walked up to Carrie's bedroom, not knowing where he was staying for the night. He knew he was probably supposed to be sleeping in a guest bedroom somewhere, but he had no idea where that was. He slipped into Carrie's room, attempting to be silent before she groaned as the light from the hall hit the wall.
"Close the door," she muttered incoherently.
"Sorry," Noah whispered and closed the door before going to his side of the bed, "is it okay if I stay with you?"
"What do I care?" She groaned.
"Great... Thanks..."
"No prob," Carrie flipped over in bed again, turning to face Noah as he got back in his pajamas and climbed into her bed. He shut his eyes, slowly falling asleep to the sound of Carrie's soft breathing. Something about her... made his heart race...
Noah's eyes shot open as he realized where he was in his dream. He was back at the school, but no longer in the basement. He stood by the doorway where he terrified the class, before noticing a golden bag lying on the floor.
"Jesus Christ," Noah muttered, "I killed her..."
"So, Lionheart," A female cop went up to the one Noah recognized from earlier, "what have you got on the kid?"
"Not much other than a brief description, most of the kids said he was a blur really."
"That's what we get for dealing with the dream killer."
"Makes complete sense, hey, how's Mike doing by the way?"
"Oh, he's just hanging out with his dad tonight, he's kind of moody about that sort of stuff."
"I get it. Carrie broke up with him for that new kid."
"New kid?"
"Yeah, there's this new boy in town called Jeremy, she had to make a tough choice. He was a fine young man, so I can see why there'd be such a ruckus."
"There's no new students at this school though..."
"Oh, he must've been from the other high school then, you know Birchwood-,"
"Always growing and changing. Must be a pretty fine boy for Carrie choosing him over Mike."
"So that's Mike's mom," Noah whispered before feeling cold metal touch his shoulder. He froze as he realized who it was.
"Just because they can't see you, doesn't mean I can't son..."
Noah turned around to see Freddy with his glove bore and all.
"I see you killed a lady, proud of you... but now you have a girlfriend?"
"D-Dad... get away from me!"
"You know, one kill on your record won't do you justice..."
"L-leave me alone! I'm not like you! It was an accident!"
"An... accident?" Freddy froze, "I'm so disappointed in you... but now I can finally do you justice."
"Just because I wanted out of your toxic lifestyle? I don't care, I'm not killing anyone else!"
"You know what Noah, you're just like the boy I fought with three years ago. Weak. Luckily, I'm not the scariest one to judge you, I understand how boys your age are. Lacking self-confidence, lacking motivation, subjected to peer pressure..."
"I'M DONE WITH THIS!"
With that, Noah shot awake sweating, looking over at Carrie who was fast asleep. He got up to use the bathroom but came right back to bed, worrying about what happened in his dream before he sighed.
"He can't track me..." Noah whispered, "He can't..."
