Noah went inside in a rush after what had happened in the morning. He had no appetite, he had no urges, he just felt... numb. He cried his eyes out on Carrie's bed as she came in and looked at him, she couldn't even understand what he'd been going through in those moments.

"Hey, Noah, do you want to talk?"

"I-I-I..." Noah couldn't even get the words out of his mouth. They were stuck, nothing broke the gate's lock until Carrie pulled him into a hug, the two embracing on her bed. His tears felt painful, rough, something he couldn't explain to even Carrie.

"It's okay," Carrie soothed him, "take your time..."

"I-I-I didn't want to kill him!"

"What do you mean? I thought that's what you wanted, sweetheart."

Sweetheart, it was a new nickname to Noah. It felt gentle, he felt safe and sort of comforted when Carrie called him it. She ran her hands through his hair when she wasn't wiping away his tears. It all felt so alluring to him and seemed to encapture him in her generosity.

"N-No..." His voice softened, "I just wanted him t-to accept me."

"Well, I'm at least happy you're alive..."

"I am too..." He whispered, "can I tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"What happened in the room..."

"Of course, besides the scars, I know Wyatt had to patch you up."

"My dad broke in... he tried to kill me, Carrie."

"He broke in?! There's no way! We have Ichabod and Kitty and Cleopatra and-,"

"I don't know how he did it..."

"I do," Wyatt strolled into the room, "sorry to interrupt, I just wanted to check up on everyone."

"Can you tell me how it happened," Carrie looked up at Wyatt, comforting Noah who now buried himself in her chest.

"Kitty was lured and locked in the basement, Aristotle's tank was capped, Thing was locked in his box with some tape, Ichabod wasn't awake and Cleopatra was drugged or something, that's what we've found out."

"Your dad is smart," Carrie looked over at Noah, "but it's okay because it'll all be okay in the end."

Noah felt his love for Carrie grow as he turned to Wyatt, wiping away his tears.

"Wyatt, can we have some space?"

"Oh, of course... I'm sorry to bother you."

Wyatt left the room as Noah wiped his tears, looking up at Carrie sadly.

"What's wrong?" Carrie examined him, "Are you okay?"

"Carrie I..." Noah trailed off, "I have something to tell you."

"And that is?"

"I love you..."

"Oh, I love you too Noah..."

"No, you d-don't get it," Noah teared up again, "I have a c-c-c-crush on you."

Carrie went silent as Noah burst into tears again. His heart was satisfied though, he'd gotten it over with after everything that was going on.

"Oh, Noah..."

"I'm sorry, I understand that I-I'm a loser so-,"

Noah felt Carrie's hands turn his face towards her as she looked deep into his eyes. With one sudden move, their lips connected for the first time and Noah could truly feel it.

Carrie liked him back.

When she pulled away, she turned red.

"Sorry, bad timing..."

"I-I-I liked that..." Noah smiled through the tears, "I really liked it..."

"So... does that mean we're dating?"

"Y-Yeah, I guess it does..."

"Oh come here," Carrie wrapped Noah in a hug, kissing his forehead as the two lie down, cuddling each other. Their emotional states were in shambles, but their hearts were beating just the same.
