I Know You Are There

Noah woke up in the dream realm once again, where his body was asleep next to Wyatt's, but in his room was his father laughing maniacally.

"I knew you'd show up..." Noah gritted his teeth.

"You did? How smart of you?"

"I beat all your little friends too, dragged one down the same path with me."

"Wyatt? I know, but he doesn't have a head bounty as you do. Sit down, we need to talk."

Freddy sat on the floor as Noah followed, the two looking at each other as Freddy took off his glove and set it aside.

"Why do you keep running, son?"

"Because I don't like you... you know this."

"There's no point though, I've cornered you now! I know your weakness, I just wanted to talk about your experience with the other killer kids."

"Why would you want to talk about that?"

"I watched you fight them, Noah, I know exactly where you are and what's going on. You're not safe anymore and I know that you know that."

"I am safe..."

"No, you aren't. I know you're at the Addams mansion, so when you wake up, you'll be cornered!"

"You bitch... I should've expected this from you."

"So... let's change the topic, how was your trip. I heard the gas station was your first fight in years."

"I beat Vincent's ass, he's just like his dad, always with the kitchen knives, so stupid."

"And for Jim... He's in critical condition now, you know?"

"He tried to kill my true family... not you... but those who accepted me, and I protect family."

"Looks like one of my lessons did hold up after all... Now at the hospital-,"

"Timothy Lecter is dead... I know..."

"You really are a killer at heart... but then your girlfriend stepped in and ruined the whole idea. She killed Robert Bates, you know that, don't you?"

"I-I had no idea," Noah looked down at the floor, "that was a rough moment for me. It's kind of a blur."

"Then you attacked Rebecca, nearly killed Darrell, and stole Wyatt..."

"You're missing one..."

"I know, Lydia, the one who told me all about Carrie and your relationship with her."

"W-What?!" Noah was in complete shock, Lydia lied to him.

"Lydia's not a killer, you know that. She's only used to get information and fill in the blanks... she filled them in alright and that's what I'm after."

"If you lay a single hand on Carrie, you're dead." Noah stood over his father as his dad grabbed the glove and stood up.

"It's alright, she'll be dead soon enough son..."

Freddy trailed off as the dream ended, Noah shouting in denial.

He shot awake as Wyatt looked up at him drowsily.

"Is something wrong?"

"N-No," Noah looked over at him, "go back to bed. I just need to use the bathroom."

"Alright then," Wyatt fell back to sleep as Noah looked over at him worriedly, wondering what tomorrow would bring.
