Ben and I face each other and I curtsy to him. At the same time he bows to me. When we look up and our eyes lock, he seems...off. His eyes are glassy and when he takes my hand and we walk down, he walks stiffly...like a robot. Everyone bows before clapping. I approach the VKs and Mal chuckles, "Wow. That's not royal Auradon attire." I grin, "I decided to do something different." "You look beautiful," Evie smiles. "Thank you. So do you." I stand next to Jay, who kisses my ring. I grin up at him and turn to Ben and Mal. Ben still looks glassy-eyed, "Mal, I wish I had more time to explain."
There is a wave of silence when Uma walks into the stage, looking shy and timid. Mal gasps as Uma walks towards Ben. He bends down and kisses his ring- the ring he gave Mal- on Uma's hand. Mal looks heartbroken, "Ben?"
This can't be real. Ben turns to Mal, "I'm sorry. It all happened so fast. Something happened to me when I was on the Isle with Uma. A connection."
