"Did you get her number?"
"NO! For fuck sake, stop asking me that!" I yell at Adam who've asked me the same question over 67 times in 189 minutes.
"Why?! WHY??!! Ellizabeth Starr initiates the conversation. Dude, that means she's into you!" He replies as he paces around the room.
"Who taught you that?! No, initiating the conversation doesn't mean you're into someone. Maybe her parents taught her to be polite and talkative with other people." I state, trying to re-educate his stereotypical douchebag mindset.
He suddenly stops in motion and clicks his tongue. "Good point. I'll find you her number."
"YOU. WILL. NOT. DO. SUCH. A. THING, ADAM ARGENT!" I press with a stern voice as I stand up.
"You should've done that by yourself, idiot." He raises his hands to emphasize his point.
"Well, maybe I would've accomplished just that if someone decided not to get drunk last night! I wonder who the hell was that?!" The sarcasm in my tone was prominent as the daylight itself.
"Okay, I'm sorry. The drunk incident was on me but you totally should at least try to find her. Who knows you guys could be the greatest couple that the world has ever seen?"
"Don't you think that's a little over the top?"
"Just a little...probably...maybe? Okay, its a little over the top but you get what I'm trying to say here. You and Ellizabeth will be perfect with each other."
"Dude, I don't know her. By the way, you seem to know a lot about her, maybe you should go and date her." I tease him.
"My heart belongs to Rachel and only Rachel." He props himself on the unoccupied bed in front of me, making himself comfortable.
"Oh my god, why did you put me on the planet with people like this?" I groan in frustration with his lovey-dovey crush love story.
"Hey, you can't choose who's to fall in love with!" He protests as he elevates his voice a little louder.
"Fair enough. Tell me one important massive detail about Ellizabeth that I should know."
"Well, for instance, everything is massively important about Ellizabeth Starr but one thing that stood out the most is the story about her ex." He tells whilst sitting up, crossing his legs.
"What about him?"
"Rumors has it that he sexually abused Ellizabeth when she was in high school and her family got the guy in court. And of course, they won."
A soft gasp escapes from my mouth and starts whispering. "The family's involved?!"
"The family's involved. That's why it is so serious."
"What happens to her afterward. Wait, why are we whispering?"
"I don't know why... it feels right. She turns from a cheerful bright girl into a gloomy mysterious woman you've met yesterday."
