The Opening Act

Part.18 We're Starting To Be Friends -Jessica's POV-

I woke to Luke shaking my body.

"What time is it?" I asked sleeply.

"It's almost 9:30am!!" He said pulling me out of bed.

"Oh crap! I still need to shower!" I said and ran into the bathroom.

I showered quickly and got out.

I decided to wear my black ripped skinny jeans, a mint green button up top tucked into my jeans, and my white converse.

I quickly straightened my hair and did my makeup in black mascara and eyeliner.

When I walked out Luke was the only one there.

"Were is everyone?" I asked grabbing a muffin.

"They left to go to rehearsal. So we'll go whenever your ready." Luke said.

"Let's go now!" I said grabbing my phone and bag.

We ran out if the bus and into my car. Luke drove cause I was eating and texting Kit telling her we were on our way.

When we go to the venue Lexi just started singing.

"There you two are!!" Kit said rushing over to us.

"Hey. So what is going to happen? Will it be Lexi, me, then the boy's?  Or what?" I asked.

"Yes.  Her, you, then the boys." Kit said.

"Do you know what songs you are going to preform tonight?" Kit asked.

"Yeah. I'm gonna do, When Your Gone, Life Of The Party, and Pop 101." I said.

"Very nice. And Luke the boys tell me that you will be doing a new song called Daylight?" Kit said.

"Yeah." He said.

"New song? What new song?" I asked. Acting like I didn't know about it.

"Yup. You'll hear it tonight!" Luke said playing along.

We smiled and got ready for rehearsal.

Wow Lexi just finished and she's better than I thought!

"Wow! Lexi you sounded amazing!" I said with a genuine smile.

"You really think that?" She asked looking more than confused.

"Yes I do." I smiled

"Thanks Jessica." She smiled.

"Jess." I corrected.

She smiled and walked away.

"Jessica to stage!" I heard my body guard Joe call.

I met my band on stage and told them the songs. We started with When Your Gone, then Life Of The Party, and then Pop 101.

I was half way through singing Pop 101, when the "DANCE!" part came on. I decided that when I yelled out "DANCE!", I would jump around the stage like a crazy person on drugs.

When the song ended I ran off stage!

"Wow Jessica, your really good!" Lexi said with a genuine smile.

"Thanks. And call me Jess." I smiled.

"OK. Jess." She smiled

"Hey, you wanna hangout in the wings when the boys are on stage tonight?"

"Sure. And I really am sorry for what I did and said to you and Luke a few years ago. I was just jealous of you." she said looking down.

"I forgive you. But why were you jealous?" I asked.
