"Autumn." My best friend Darcy started, taking a bite from her apple. "You really should smile more, boys find it attractive." She took another bite of her apple, swinging her legs back and fourth.

Darcy and I were located on a park bench, around the back of our school. No-one barely came around here, and I'm not too sure why, this is possibly the most beautiful place in the school grounds. We overlooked a field, where the emerald grass grew in long shards, with flowers popping out. Trees were surrounding the petite field.

"My smile would send boys running." I sighed.

Darcy, fortunately had no idea about my feelings for the boy on the bus, and I was happy about that. Darcy, was at all costs, one of my best friends, and I adore her, but sometimes I need to have secrets of my own, such as the boy on the bus.

"I doubt it." Darcy smiled, twisting the stem of the apple, until it eventually fell out. "Who exactly would it send running? Have you got your eye on someone Autumn?" She smirked, taking yet another crunch from her apple. I shook off her comment.

"No-one." I bluntly replied. Darcy giggled slightly, giving me a look that she knew, and I hated it when she did that. I always thought of myself as a good liar, but I guess someone was going to find the truth out eventually.

"I'm not going to hate you, just because you have a crush on someone." She claimed. I shook my head yet again, hoping the subject would be disowned. It felt weird talking about this. This is the first person I have ever had a crush on. I had never been in love, just like no-one has ever been in love with me. As upsetting that may seem to some people, I've just learned to live with it.

"Have you just assumed that they find it attractive if girls smile, or is it a genuine fact?" I began, sipping from my hot chocolate through the straw.

Darcy's eyes rolled as she sighed. "Yes, it is a fact, but seriously who do you have your eye on? Because it's bugging me."

I refused to speak a word of the boy on the bus to Darcy. I didn't want her to help me out with him, or even attempt to set us up, his answer would obviously be 'no'. I wasn't even positive I liked him, I just loved a few of his traits he owned.
He was a kind and always sweet to anyone he passed. He was funny, in the classes I had with him, he'd make a few jokes. He was also smart and clever. To top it off, he was extremely attractive, which was just another reason why I had developed some strong feelings for him.

"Autumn!" Darcy snapped, waving her hand it front of my face. "Stop going off into daydreams. Anyway, what I was going to ask, is do you want a lift home? So do you want to go back to mine?" She offered.

"Thanks Darcy, but I don't really feel like doing much, I just want to sleep."

"You never want to do anything anymore." She whined, fumbling around in her bag for her keys, walking towards the car-park.

That's when I noticed him, in his red and black plaid top, and a guitar in his right hand. He was gathered around his friends, laughing with his friends. He threw his hand up in the air, waving goodbye to his gang, to begin his journey back home. His head instantly snapped back to his mate, who had shouted something after him, making him laugh.
I couldn't help but smile at his sweetness.

"Bye!" She yelled out after me, as she began her walk back to her house.

"Bye!" I shouted, smiling. Hoping that he would look in my direction, and notice the smile tattooed across my mouth. Maybe he'd fall in love with it, and want to know more about me, just like I do about him.
