double update bc i'm fab
(just bc i'm in love with this atm)

"Hey Autumn! Where's Darcy?" A voice spoke from the side, I presumed it was Jake, because of the way Darcy and him were acting recently. I turned to face the voice, to be introduced with a cheery face, and stretchers in his ear.

I unplugged my earphones and forced a smile back at him. "She never gets on the bus."

He happily invited himself on to the seat next to me without invitation, as if we were already friends. Why would he even want to sit next to me? I was boring, I was nothing. Surely he'd rather sit next to his mates, instead of wasting his breath on me?

"Why doesn't she get on the bus?" Jake asked, and I shrugged, even though I knew why, she hated it, she hated the smell, the atmosphere and all the younger pupils who constantly scream.

"She hates it." I shrugged in response. Jake nodded, pulling out his phone, and tapping his fingers rapidly against his keyboard.

"Oh, Darcy isn't coming in today, she just messaged me." Jake pouted, lifting up his phone for only a short amount of time, so I barely had a chance to look at the message properly. I swallowed hard. I never coped well on my own, which was ironic as I was alone, almost everyday, but not having someone to talk to at lunch, or be with, that was hard.

"Why not, is she sick?"

"Apparently so!" Jake exclaimed. "She feels as if someone is crushing her from the inside, and her head is about to explode, and other letters that frankly have no relevance what so ever! How are you two friends?"

"We've been brought up together, we just know eachother inside out." I shrugged, laughing dryly.

It was nice to know that Jake was trying to keep the conversation a flow, and I know it didn't help that I had no social skills. He still remained by me as the bus was constantly moving closer and closer to school. Maybe he was getting friendly with me, because he fancied Darcy? That was probably the reason, the way they acted around eachother, it was quite obvious they were in love. After all Jake did seem like a loving and caring sort of guy, one of which was easy to fall in love with. They honestly suited eachother in every way possible.

"So how's your band?" I asked, remembering yesterday afternoon, and how he was going around Charlie's house.

Jake smiled, nodding his head. "Yeah it's good thank you. I think Reece might have even got us a gig somewhere, but it's still early days yet."

"That's great!" I exclaimed, trying my best to sound happy for him, but instead it sounded like a was being sarcastic and damn right rude. I've never really been the enthusiastic type, so that was something else for me to try and master. "Where is the place?"

Jake pursed his lips as he thought, tapping his chin. He quickly turned around in his chair, and shouted up the aisle. "Hey Charlie, where was that place we were supposedly playing at?"

As Charlie's name escaped from Jake's mouth, my head instantly snapped back around. His blonde hair appeared from a dozen heads, as he sat upright in his seat. His hands cupped around his mouth as he shouted back to us. "The Pub opposite the cinema!"
Yeah, because that really narrows it down.

Jake pointed back to Charlie, and laughed. "The Pub opposite the cinema." He repeated, the words that had just fallen from Charlie's mouth.

I looked back around at Charlie, who was tapping his hand against his leg, whilst gazing out of the window. He looked deep in thought but also worried, and I could only imagine what I'd do if I was sat next to him. I'd tell him it'd be fine, as I laced our fingers in between eachothers, and he would smile, his beautiful smile, with dimples forming either side of his mouth, and softly place a kiss upon my forehead.
I could only dream.
