Happy New Year Part II

Persephone's POV

"Form up guys, Blue you have our six, and Hex go invisible take them by surprise." He instructs taking out his bo as he turns to face the struggling kroloteans that I'm holding back. "On my signal..." He continues focusing on me, and he gestures for the other two to follow him around the side.

When I finally think that I can't hold on anymore he does this weird overdramatic bat gesture, and I let go quickly going invisible. A few of the tiny aliens follow the guys, but the others look around confused clearly looking for me.

I shoot out my hand sending a hex over to the other side of the room causing a small red explosion, and the all quickly run over there as quickly as they can. I turn back to being visible finding it hard to do two things at the same time.

"Freeze." I whisper twirling my hands around each other, and I smile as the aliens freeze in their spots. However now I'm at a loss for what to do with them.

"Compress their molecules until they're nothing but dust..."

"Convince them they're burning alive in their worst nightmare..."

"Turn their bodies inside out..."

I gasp trying to mask and cover up the malicious voice in my head that's been there since I got my powers. I used to let it control me, but now it just sits there and mocks me. The scary thing is this voice is still me, and I'm ashamed of what it says. That's probably why I've never told anyone.

Clearing my mind again I just shove them into the nearest wall, just hard enough to give them a headache and nothing more. I drop to the ground doing a three step turn around myself while shooting a jolt of energy out of my hand as they start to stand.

I look over my shoulder for a second to check on my teammates, and I internally panic as I see several of the kroloteans dog piling on top of Robin. I make a fist with my left hand my right swirling over it before it closes as well, and a small ball of energy sneaks into the middle of the pile exploding and pushing all of the aliens off of him when I let go.

"They really don't like you I'm a little jealous." After helping Robin up we both jog over to La'gaann and Blue Beetle to see what all the commotion is about. As we're trying to get to them though more aliens appear and block our path. He uses his staff and swipes four out of our way, and I do a turning Russian jump knocking down the other two.

"That was fancy." He laughs as we take off running again since the kroloteans are now disappearing. "Well you're not the only one training with Divine." He's about to say something back, but stops when he catches what Blue says.

"You can understand their screeching, how?" He asks as we come to a stop, and just then a krolotean pounces on him. "I-I don't know exactly, but I can." Blue nervously thinks aloud, and I push two aliens into each other before turning to him totally exasperated. "Well what's going on then?"

"Hefe's ordering all the Kroloteans to zeta off world. He said he set the base to self-destruct in four minutes!" Blue panics, and I stop what I'm doing to share a look of panic with him.

"Then we're getting out. Anything else I need to know?" Robin asks fighting off the last few aliens, and I levitate through the air slightly landing beside home along with Blue and La'gaann. "No, he did say something about sacrificing the play things below."

"Play things... Oh man the abductees." He looks around nervously clearly trying to come up with a plan, and then his eyes lock with mine though his mask a forgive me kind of look on his face. "Can you fry the circuitry?"

"I could, but if I do something wrong the bomb could go off prematurely." I respond glancing behind me, but I stop upon seeing one of the aliens still straggling behind the rest that have left it. It's feet start running as quickly as they can towards the platform, but I lift my hand shifting the density of the floor so it slips through the floor partially.
