Persephone's POV

I clench and unclench my jaw a few times trying to keep my calm as Bart's foot taps away beside me. My eyes close as that stupid voice goes off again in my head honestly being just as annoying.

"Sever his foot off!" It shouts and all I can think is how that wouldn't help at all, he'd probably switch to banging his head against the wall.

"Persephone," Black Canary calls, and I adjust my leggings as I stand waiting for Virgil to sit back down. Periodically Bart's foot stops, but only because him and Jaime both turn to look at me shooting me a look saying don't spill. Like I'll even have time to think about their problems, Zatanna and Anastasia probably filled Canary in on everything so we'll have plenty of other things to talk about.

Just as I get under the threshold of the door Bart's foot starts again, and I turn around quickly making makeshift cuffs that hold both his feet down. His nervously sheepish green eyes meet my deadly glare, and I go to walk into the office but I stop listening to the four kids I don't know.

"Geesh, she's scary." The tallest mumbles making the muscles in my shoulders tighten and I can see the lights in the hall clench with them not helping my case any. Really I can't help it, ever since I got back my powers have been out of control and I think it's because of all the visions I saw but don't remember ever happening.

"Breathe Persephone." Canary coos swooshing in to rescue me, and set me on the chair facing her desk. "I'm sorry." I mumble meekly feeling my emotions shift so quickly I panic a little on the inside. "It's all right dear, you're not the first child I've dealt with that let their emotions control their powers."

"But you're definitely the worst." The squawky voice purrs sounding really pleased with this making me now feel disgusted. I sit stiffly in the chair with my arms crossed watching my foot scuff the floor. When I look up Black Canary is just studying me, and I instantly stop suddenly to aware of the things going on around me.

Black Canary is one of the few people that doesn't treat me like glass, and maybe that's because she's dealt with plenty of testy teenagers like she said. I know Conner was quite the peach, Ana hid her powers from the League until she lost control and hurt her friends, and M'gann accidentally trapped her friends in a psychic coma.

Compared to that I haven't done anything bad since I've joined the team, but before hand I killed people back when I couldn't control my powers. Actually, I obliterated people, they did not come out of meetings with me in one piece or looking normal. "Tell me about your experience, the others said there were tests?"

"There were, but it was nothing. Just felt like those small shocks you get when you rub your socks against the carpet. What hurt the most was hearing my friends." She doesn't say anything just listens to me with her hands clasped under her chin, but she doesn't need to. She understands I've been through worse.

"The others have said they had dreams, but they were things that had happened. Did you experience this, and what did you see?" She asks leaning forward with her elbows rested on her desk casually. "Yeah, but it was just the usual, the experiments, my dad forcing me too..." I lie easily because sadly I'm getting really good at it, but even my lie hurts to much to say.

"Percy are you telling me that you've still been having nightmares?" She quizzes lifting a single eyebrow, but the rest of her face stays perfectly expressionless. "No, no... I..." I trail off giving her a sheepish grin which she meets with a motherly glare.

"You know the agreement was you didn't need to come to sessions anymore if your nightmares stopped, and that we could rely on you to tell us if they continued." She explains pointedly, but I already knew that.
