Dusk settles on the empty road when you feel the first drop. You look around, wearily. "The forecast didn't call for rain today..." you say as your skin begins to burn where the droplet was. You hardly flinched, staring at the new wound. "Awful." You say, pulling the camera from around your neck to view your now boiled arm. A rare acid rainstorm hit, this time almost deadly. "The current radio activity doesn't seem to burn through clothing." You observe, unphased for the most part. But why? Why now that your flesh has been seared to a bubbly mess, are you so calm? You begin to search your car for something... a beaker. It starts to pour as you prepare to collect a sample.the air turns sour as the stillness becomes a thundering rainfall. Loud, but not nearly loud enough to drown out the anguish booming within your cries.
