The footsteps draw closer. "Don't hurt me!" A young man whimpers, as out of the shadows comes a large, slumped over figure. *tap tap tap* The sound of a cane  echoes. "Now Sugar, why in the world would I do that?" The figure says in a sweet yet raspy voice. The man relaxes. "M-Mrs. Montgomery? What are you doing here..?" He asks as a calm old woman with smooth, silver hair makes her way into the dim light. "Carlos, I'm here to take you home." She replies, adjusting her glasses. She holds out a hand for him to take, but he backs away. "N-no! I can't go back. They'll hurt me again." He says, his voice trembling. "Not your home, Carlos. Come with me." Mrs. Montgomery says. Carlos feels a chill down his spine, but still, hesitantly rises from his knees.
