Chapter three

We walked down the dark dead streets of New York. She hasn't spoken once since I agreed to come. The silence was killing me just as much the nagging pain in the back of my head. I knew Klaus wasn't going to be happy with me for leaving.

"I hear that you were trying to kill Silas." Tessa finally broke the silence. Silas, great.

"I was, but he killed me. I guess he won." I joked.

"Well, I still that makes you my new best friend. My real name is Qetsiyah, I am a witch who was once in love in love with Silas." She began to explain, I have heard this story before and I don't want to hear it again.

"Oh yes I have heard this. I thought you died."

"Yes but I came back, it's a long story. I have come back to make sure that Silas can't get to his real love. Now he has taken the blood of Katrina Petrova, my plans have to change and that's where you come in."

"I come in?"

"Yes, I have been watching you and your friend Angela recently. You are remarkable and would be able to help me perfectly." I stopped her in the dark street.

"Who said I was going to help you?" I asked her.

"Do you want end Silas?"

"Well yes."

"I take it then you plan to help me. We need to go back to Mystic falls as soon as possible, Silas is still walking the earth which doesn't make me happy." She had carried on walking as spoke.

"I still don't get what you want me to do. It won't that hard to kill now he is just a witch." I said after her.

"He is very powerful though and you don't want to mess with a powerful witch." All of a sudden it felt like my head was burning. I held my head in agony and screamed. "You should know that."

"Spot it!" She stopped the pain.

"Your friend is the key in this whole play. She is one of the many descendants of Silas's witch line. Have ever wondered why he never hurt her when you were in the cave. Any spell he does will be twice as powerful when if it done with two of the same of the witch line. Silas is trying to find the anchor to the other side. If he destroys it, he can die with and be with his true love."

"Aww that's sweet." I chipped in.

"Sweet? I highly doubt that. Luckily the travellers keep on moving it about so no one can ever find it. Now I know he has befriended the travellers and all that but that isn't the problem. All I want you and Angela to do is stop him from finding it. I can't tell you the actual location as I don't trust you enough but it is near mystic falls at the moment and I want you to stop any attempts of him finding it."

"Sure, just remember though me and Angela aren't your little puppets. I am only doing this because I want to finish what I started."

"Oh of course, but any means necessary. I don't care who dies or who lives. As long Silas is dead that's all that matters. Do we have a deal?"

"Yes. Yes we do."

I turned onto the street of Richard's apartment and bumped into random stranger. The stranger groaned a familiar groan and I knew it was Klaus.

"Not only do you walk off and leave in pain but you then come and give me concussion. What is with you?" Klaus groaned at me.

"Sorry but we have got to get to Mystic falls this instance."

"Sorry but no love. You're on a vacation and I haven't teaching the tricks of being a vampire in this day en age."

"That's the point, I don't need to learn. Take me home, now."

"Fine, you owe me." He began walking off towards the way I came.

"Where's Richard?" I asked following him.

"Home. Just so know he doesn't remember neither me or you."

"Oh you've to be kidding you compelled him. Klaus that's so low, even for you." We both walked through the empty streets as the sun was slowly beginning to rise over the New York skyline. "That's beautiful."

"What you looking at? Oh I see. It's alright, I have seen better."

"You didn't ask why I left."

"You came back and demanded you go back to Mystic Falls so it won't be long before you start rambling about it."

I stopped and stared at him. "Excuse me! I am not going to start rambling!"

"I know you. You are. If it's not now, it will be when we are in the car."

I felt like shouting at him but he was right. I will start rambling about it soon. Why does he have to be so smart? I gave a long, hard cold stare before walking on.

"Oh come on, don't be like that love. I was only messing with you." He walked next to me. To say it was kinda of apologising, he still wore a smirk on his face.

"Don't do that."

"Do what?"

"Trying to be charming. You smirking won't win me over." I tried to look away from him.

"Oh yeah then love,what will?"

"Seriously? Can yourself right now? If I didn't know you better I would say you trying to flirt with me."

"Oh don't be stupid why would I to do that?" We had reached the car now. There was an envelope attached to the windscreen. It had Jane written on it. I took it before Klaus could and ripped it open. Inside there was small note and a necklace.

The note read:

Dear Jane, here is a necklace that will protect Angela from Silas. This necklace will stop her from being detected by a locater spell. This means that Silas can't use her in his little plan.
Tessa

I shoved the note and necklace into the envelope and put into my jean pocket. I got into the car and slammed the door. Tessa was beginning to annoy me. Why did Angela now need protecting?

"What did it say?" He asked as he started up the car.

"Nothing, just a gift for Angela that's all."

"Fine then love. The more bottle you it up, your are going to make it worse for me."

"How?"

"You will start shouting and I will have to shut you up."

"No I won't!" I shouted. I rolled his eyes and grabbed me by the cheeks. He kissed me with force and then pushed me back into my seat. I was so dazed I didn't even bother protesting. The car fell completely silent. 

"That worked." We drove off towards the rising sun.
