|~Chapter Twenty Eight~|Me and Angela sat on the terrace of a little cafe. For the past week, me and Angela have building my magic back up again. Klaus almost always seems disappointed when I come in from the day with Angela and I show him a new spell; it's almost as if he hopes that I would come in and be begging to become a vampire again.
"So Joey wants to speak to me later..." Angela, said before taking a sip of her latte.
"Really?" I tried my best to not smile from cheek to cheek. "Wonder what that could be about..."
"Don't act stupid. He wants to me come with you so we can speak."
"I haven't been home since I tried to explain to my parents that I am no longer a vampire and that's was challenging so I gave up going back. They are going travelling by the way."
"Really?"
"Yep they have decided. There is no point sticking around when they could go out and see the world. They plan to put the house in Joey's name and they will pay him rent when they come home."
"Wish I could do that."
"Doesn't everyone? Have you thought about college?"
"Well if I thought about Spring admission but that closes next week so I need to be quick if I do want to start this academic year. My mum is encouraging it almost. She doesn't want me to waste anymore time here."
"Really? I forgot Spring Admission even existed. Imagine, people will believe we went travelling last semester rather than chasing villains with vampires." I laughed. "I think you should go."
"What about you? you don't have all the time in the world anymore to decide."
"I know, but right now, I just want to be here. Maybe in the fall."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure. Well you be ready to go see Joey?"
"I guess so. First though, I have to ask, how is Klaus is handling all of this?"
"Okay really, not really chuffed but still."
"Better than I expected I guess. I didn't see him doing this well at all, I expected either you two to break up or you to be a vampire again."
"Defying expectations that's what we do best." I laughed.

I walked back into the foyer to see Marcel stood waiting by the stairs. He hadn't seem to notice me so I stopped and stared at him.
"Marcel, how can we help you?" I asked him.
"Nothing to do with you little vamp. If I need someone to annoy me, I will ask for you."
"I was only trying to help." I laughed walking past him and up the stairs. I headed along the corridor and towards our bedroom before being distracted by the spare bedroom that I found the dress for the masquerade party in. I stepped inside and let the memories spill out.
It wasn't a defining moment for me being a vampire as there being particularly immortal about the moment but the it was the idea of it. The first party with Klaus, the first of many. It was the idea of eternity with him. An eternity which is now gone. Well it wasn't gone but the days are now numbered, maybe only 5 years at most.
