|~Chapter Twenty-four~|

I stood outside the Mystic falls border. My life is probably going to end here and I highly doubt I would live past today. Jeremy came and stood next to me, I looked up at him and smiled.

"It's a good day to die." I laughed.

"No it's not, you have another choice." He turned to me. "What about Klaus? Angela? Your brother? Stefan? Me?"

"I have to kill her, Veronica has to die. Everything that has gone wrong in my life is because of her."

------------

I sat in my car as I watched Klaus walk across the road. We made eye contact and he shook his head. Still no sign of Angela. Three weeks we have been looking for her and so far everyone we have asked haven't her. We tried anywhere we possibly think she could be or a lead has taken us to. We had gotten as far as the border of Pennsylvania and still no sign. She is being careful to cover up her tracks as she has left no trail for us to find.

"This only leaves one place love, before we have to give up and move on." Klaus said as he got into the car.

"We can't give up."

"We have to wait for her to come back."

"So where then?" I asked, as I started up the car.

"There is only one place left, Mystic Falls."

"But Stefan hasn't seen her, he has looked everywhere."

"Get on the road to Mystic Falls, it's worth a shot." He took my hand. "You never know."

"Fine." I set off down the road, we actually weren't too far from the place. It would be an hour at most.

Over the last three weeks Me and Klaus spent every moment of everyday together trying to find Angela. Whilst it brought us closer, I haven't slept at night. I have been too worried about where Angela and whether she is suffering. Eventually we got to the end of the road and turned off the highway. By then, the sun had set and nightfall had closed in it on us. By the looks of it to me, it would be another day where Angela was still lost to the world. Sooner or later we were nearing the border of Mystic Falls, to my surprise Jeremy was stood in the middle of the road.

I put the brakes on and got out the car.

"Having fun there?" I laughed.

"The travellers have put a barrier on Mystic Falls, the supernatural can't enter nor does magic work. In basic terms, if vampires enter they die." He said staring at the road ahead. "So no, definitely not having fun."

"Stefan didn't tell me about this at all."

"It only just happened. Stefan is caught up at Whitmore,  but the fact that the spell has stopped is not a good sign."

"Why?"

"It will mean either Elena or Stefan could be dead."

I felt the night closing around us as the news sunk in, Klaus had joined at my side.

"Could witches still go in?" Klaus asked.
