Chapter twenty five

|~Chapter Twenty-Five~|

I stood in front of Bonnie and tried my best to smile. She just shook her head at me whilst a couple of tears escaped her eyes. Behind her stood Klaus. His eyes were puffy, he had clearly been crying, but now he stood there emotionless. The way he stood there almost made me wonder if he had flicked his humanity or something, but the fact he was stood made me realise he hasn't, yet. I felt the need to catch my breath from what happened before.

"At least we know they broke that spell." I laughed, making Bonnie laugh too.

"Is she here?" Klaus almost looked like he woke up when she laughed.

"Yes." Bonnie said turning to him.

"Why would you do this to me Jane?"

"I told you I will bring her back." Bonnie snapped. She turned back to me. "Find Stefan, he is with Angela and Lexi, stay with them."

"I don't want to hurt you." I said.

"It's okay." She took my hand and once again blackness was my friend.

I woke up by my body. I was surprised to find myself not where I had died. Instead I was stood in the forest where Jeremy was covering my body with dirt. I wanted to reach out for him but I couldn't.

"Sucks doesn't it? Seeing your body getting burried." I turned around to see Kol.

"Kol." I smiled and I gave him a massive hug.

"Now you need to explain exactly why you are currently stood in front of me." He pulled away.

"Is it not that obvious that I am dead? Has the other side done something to your head?"

"How you did you die?"

"I basically killed myself so I can kill the other protectors too."

"And that was the only solution?"

"To me it was." I laughed. "Now, I need to find Angela and Stefan."

"It's good to know you find this while comedic. I haven't seen them around."

I looked over the horizon towards Mystic Falls, the Grill. Surely they would be at the Grill, it made sense. By what Bonnie told me, where we pass back through her would only be just outside of Mystic Falls and therefore the Grill would be the perfect place to relax before you return back to the living.

I grabbed Kol's hands and turned around towards Mystic Falls. We began to walk out of the forest and towards the town centre when I heard a scream. I turned to see Jeremy pinned up against a car on the border of the town.

"Shit." I went running into the opposite direction with Kol following me.

I stood in front of the situation at hand, watching Klaus scream in Jeremy's face. My automatic reaction was to reach out for Klaus to stop him. Yet to my surprise my hand actually touched his arm. Klaus stopped what he doing and looked down to where my hand was on his upper arm.

"It's Jane." Jeremy said struggled for against Klaus's grasp.

"You can see me?"

"Yeah I can." He smiled. "Clearly Bonnie wasn't the one I had a deep connection with."

"Tell him I am sorry."

"She said she is sorry." Klaus was still looking at his arm where my hand was whilst Jeremy spoke. He had relaxed his hand around his throat letting Jeremy get out of his grasp.
