On Thursday Odera had his traditional wedding in Nigeria and by Sunday they're in New York City for the 'white wedding'. They call it the 'white wedding,' because the bride wears a white dress. There was about 500 guests at the traditional wedding and they're expecting 1,000 people today.
Traditionally in Igbo land the traditional wedding is for the woman or daughter. The men don't necessarily have to have a traditional wedding in their ancestral village. Odera and Lesedi had one because his wife loves the Nigerian culture and wanted one.
Everybody's tired from all the traveling, but they know once the wedding gets started they'll kick right back into celebration mode. Having two wedding ceremonies is stressful and expensive, but it's their culture. Odera and Lesedi might be a little extra for having them in two countries a couple days apart though.
After Abella's finished getting her hair and makeup done, she changes into her 'Best Wo-man' gown. Hers stood out from the bridesmaids and maid of honor dresses that are dark blue mermaid style gowns.
When she gets a text from Anthony saying he's here she slips on a pair of slides and leaves the suite for the women in the wedding party. She would be the idiot to forget her shoes for today. The wedding's being held at The Plaza Hotel on Fifth Avenue, so she maneuvers through the building until she finally sees two men standing in black suits.
Her eyes immediately set on Anthony as she approaches him and his cousin, Gbenga. "You look so good," she immediately compliments Anthony. She puts her hand under his chin making him smile before kissing him. She loves when dresses up. It makes her tingle all over. "I could eat you right now," she says kissing him again.
He laughs saying, "Me? Look at you." When he grabs her hand and holds her arm up before motioning towards her making her bloom into a smile. He spins her around before saying, "You look beautiful."
When he extends the Amina Muaddi Gilda Glitter Crystal Sandal heels she asked him to bring she says thank you before taking them. She puts her hand on Anthony's shoulder for support to go ahead and put them on.
