Humans have a tendency to think they have the whole world under their control.

The fates think it is the funniest joke in the universe because they know that humans can plan and plan and plan until they get themselves sick planning and when they think nothing can ever go wrong, that is when things go downhill.

DiDi knows this.

But it doesn't stop him from planning.

He has a plan A, plan B, and if need be he would have up until Plan Z.

He's had two days to clear his head from the confusion of feeling attracted to Shen Yue.

He won't deny what he felt for her during the gala but now he has found a perfectly logical explanation for it.

He's a man. She's a woman.

What he felt was nothing more than a hormonal reaction he can always get over. He can keep his emotions in check because it does not come from anywhere deep.

Being attracted to her was only a knee-jerk reaction. It holds no weight over his heart.

Besides, he still believes that he has to continue getting to know the enemy for him to effectively ruin her. He also continues to still be angry at her so whatever he felt last Wednesday is something he can brush off.

That was fleeting and unimportant.

And villains know how to focus and what to give importance to.

"You do know it's an engagement DINNER right?" Yue told him as soon as she came down from her room and saw him lounging at their living room "It's only noon."

The annoyance she showed filled him with joy.

Yep. Definitely still angry at her, he thought.

"I need to take you somewhere first before we go to that dinner."

She arched an eyebrow at him. "What???"

"Just come with me."

"And if I don't want to?"

"I'll carry you to my car" he answered nonchalantly "How you look like doesn't really matter."

She was incensed and raised a fist at him. "Mr. Wang He Di, have you forgotten you are in my family's house?"

He smiled. "Ms. Shen Yue, have you forgotten that the moment you injure me, regardless of where we are, I can sue you and take everything you have and hold dear?"

Yue growled in frustration.

"Stop the theatrics" he told her coldly "Do you really want me to carry you to my car looking like that?"

The writer stood her ground. "Let's see you do it!"

He shook his head at her and without preamble, lifted her up over his shoulders.

She slapped his back in anger.

"PUT ME DOWN!!!"

He shrugged her attempts off and walked towards the door.

The door opened and her brother, Yang, looked at them with eyes as big as saucers. "Oh hey! Are you guys leaving already?"

DiDi nodded towards the younger man.

"YANG WHY ARE YOU ACTING SO CASUALLY! TELL HIM TO PUT ME DOWN!"

Yang laughed. "I told him you might not agree to it. He said he'd drag you out of the house if he had to and he's carrying you right now... I think that's actually better right?"
