What is worse than murdering someone?
It is confusing them.
Shen Yue doesn't know what Wang He Di is playing at but all in one day, he was both her greatest savior and worst enemy.
She alternated between feeling like she wanted to hug him or wanting to chuck the life out of him.
He was infuriating at best.
"You have a week and six days to decide Ms. Shen" was his parting shot when he dropped her off.
It took her a moment for the statement to fully sink in until he raised a brow at her and that's when he understood that what he was talking about was her decision to continue writing Zi Wei's story or not.
She had not expected it at all after the show he put on in front of her friends.
He looked like the most doting boyfriend of all time.
But then again it was all for show. How could she have forgotten that THAT was a mask he wore for everyone else?
If she was still inside the car, she would have punched him in his perfect teeth for what he said but she was already opening the gate to their house and he had sped away as soon as he made sure she understood what he meant.
Her head is going to explode and she remembered that that is probably what he likes.
DiDi said it himself this morning – "It doesn't bode well for my business if my enemies can easily understand me."
So therefore, she will try to break his personality down because she liked challenges.
And because it seems she really has a tendency for masochism in taking on things that are impossible.
She tossed in her bed, unable to sleep, and thought of the Wang Corporation heir.
Yue can safely say that other than Enzo, she might be the only one who has faced him head on and have familiarized herself with his "infamous" side.
He is sarcastic, assertive, and he has no qualms of any kind about what he needs to do when he wants to achieve something.
Case in point, he was willing to go as far as pretending to be her boyfriend just so he could get to know more about her for what he would need to do to effectively ruin her.
But...
Why would he have her made up for today?
Why would he concern himself with making sure she didn't look like a loser in front of her friends?
And why would he hold her hands and offer her comfort at some of the critical points this evening like their families toasting the soon-to-be bride and groom and when they had kissed as the audience requested?
She also remembered the mini argument they had before getting inside the restaurant.
She had retreated somewhere in her mind during that car ride and she came back when she saw him lean towards her for a kiss.
Her defense was immediately up and if not for a remark he had made, she wouldn't have realized that he intentionally annoyed her to elicit a reaction from her.
She was sure she must have look haunted to him.
Yue had been thinking a little too deeply about her actions towards everyone around her when it came to Zhi Ting and whenever that happens, she knows she would drown in contemplation.
Yes.
Sure.
DiDi said he wanted her to lose but not in the hands of anyone other than him.
