When Dr. Stanley Rubicon and Dr.Nancy Keegan entered their faces became as stone.
Sandra Ardon was in handcuffs. Her face in tears.
Ted Greanley and Patricia Morlinson stood closest to Sandra. Patricia's arms folded. Her gaze was sleak and gleeming. It seemed to take its time moving across the room before she made it apparent that his presence was known.
"I'd like to know what is going on here." Dr. Rubicon's left index finger pointed down, but his speech was detatched from the situation. His head nodded. Patricia's motions were rough, yet sleak, just like her stares, and instantaneously her position was like watching a chess match where the knight has just blocked the bishop.
"Miss Ardon is being taken to Commander Thereaux's chambers."
"Commander Thereaux's chambers, I see." Dr. Nancy Keegan folded her arms, her chin dropped, and she wanted to say something, but better judgement got in the way.
"Yes, why Commader Thereaux's?" Dr. Stanley Rubicon placed his hands on his hips.
Patricia Morlinson's eyes fell away then returned with dutiful zeal. "This is the part of this place that 'I' hate too. That's why we have people like Commaner Thereaux. I'm just doing my little service here, and believe it, or not, I'm trying to make it as easy on Sandra as possible. Now," she took a step closer to Dr. Stanley Rubicon, his hands fell into his white coat pockets. "If you'd like to attend Dr. Rubicon please do."
"I'll be joining you." Dr. Nancy Keegan wanted to tap her right foot, but managed to stop herself.
"We don't need two doctors present. Won't you be needed on the clock in case anything occurs?" Patricia's right eyebrow raised.
"I think my attendance will be more than required." This time Nancy's head nodded speedily.
"Actually Nancy, I think that Ms. Morlinson has a point. With everything that's going on, and 'this' needs to be dealt with immediately, I personally would feel better if you watched everything while I do my best to help this issue along as passively as possible."
"Everything that's going on? What could be more important than this?"
"Haven't yoyu heard?" Dr. Stanley Rubicon looked at Nancy almost appologetically.
"Heard what?" Dr. Nancy Keegan's voice sharpened, taking a new direction.
"About your brother." Patricia's stare increased its attentive posture on Nancy, her head turning to the left.
"What about my brother?"
