Roman opened his eyes to see rolling ocean waves before him.
He lifted his head from the sand, which fell off of his right cheek in clustered patches. With his hands he brushed the rest away. His mind clouded in doubt.
The sound of the waves seemed to hypnotize him, the blue sky filled with golden clouds in the distance which reflect off of the vast ocean abound. The sand warm under his toes, bare feet. It wasn't till now that Roman noticed he was completely nude. He looked around the beach to see if there was any other forms of life.
Nothing. He seemed to be alone.
The water was blue, but clear in the shallows, and in the water he could see marine life swimming about. It looked like, from what he learned in data books, like a sea lion, but he wasn't sure.
Roman wanted to go into the ocean, but he felt it best if he just looked for now. Moving as fast and freely as possible Roman ran down to the shore, letting the water kiss his feet.
It was cold, the water was full of zing. It wasn't like the pools, or spas on TARA 3. This was real, authentic. Roman stopped for a moment on the sand. He thought he saw someone on the beach, far away. Walking toward him. He squinted to help remove some of the blinding sun.
Roman was certain now. There was someone approaching.
He looked around for something to cover himself with, perhaps a fallen palm tree leaf. He found his necessart leaves in the distance, where the beach ended and the jungle began.
Roman returned to the shore to see that the form in the distance had become a person. A woman slowly walking up to him. She was nude and seemed perfectly comfortable.
"Hello Roman."
Roman's face twisted in disbelief, his makeshift palm leaf garment falling between them. "Carmine?"
