A bright sun drifted warmth down upon her, as she lay outstretched on rich soil that was dampened from the river that rolled at her feet. Sandra had to swat a mosquito away from her thigh, and it was all the more pleasant that she could do that.
All she could feel was a pleasant serenity that filled her mind and brought it into bliss.
A shadow blocked her sunlight, and Sandra had to still place one hand over her eyes to prevent the glare of the sun from beaming down into them. A person was standing over her. A man. He knelt down, moving in close to her, the sun behind him changing to a blackness of star filled space. The warmth had vanished and was now replaced with a cold chill which brought Sandra to shivers.
There was a noise in the far off distance. It sounded like a heart beating, then it changed. It became faster than a steady heartbeat and the heavy pitch was different. It shifted into a squeal that became something like a siren.
Sandra awoke. An alarm was going off She wasn't sure for a moment if she was still dreaming, then it happened.
Sandra Ardon saw the walls bend in, then out, as the rumble fired across her new living quarters.
She was thrown up from the bed, then came down upon it, her nails grinding into the padded matress. Sandra looked around the room, waiting for something else to happen.
