"You will have to continue where Roman's route ended. We have to solve this meteor problem first. I don't care what's out there. This has to be done." Captain Farville almost shouted into his headset mic. "You are ordered to continue the flight path of Roman's vessel." His tone changed, it became subtle, "If we don't get out there in time there won't be a TARA 3 to return to."
Carmen saw that the formless blob was still wrapped around the scout ship, then it suddenly moved aside, then vanished,leaving the scout ship alone. "Morgan I'll need you to go back on board and continue where Roman left off."
Morgan was reticent, and just as Carmen was going to clarify his necessary response, he spoke. "Okay. Let's link back up to the umbilical."
"I'm scanning for life readings for all we know something could have boarded during that things juncture to the scout ship."
The ship was desolate of any life.
"Scout ship's ready Morgan."
"Let's do it. Take me in Carmen."
She glided beside the umbilical she had attatched not long ago and now she reconnected to it with ease.
Morgan could hear the pressure lock to the airlock door.
He entered awaiting Carmen's countdown. This time he would be ready for any slight change in gravity, or cabin pressure.
