[Your POV]
"(Y/N), are you watching that show again?" My roommate, Veronica, asked. She leaned over my shoulder, looking down at my laptop. "We need to get to class in less than thirty minutes, at least get in your uniform!"
"Not yet." I said. "Splinter's warning them about bathrooms."
"Didn't that happen in the first episode?" Veronica asked. Her eyes widened as she came to the realization. "(Y/N) don't tell me that you're-"
"-Rewatching TMNT 2012 for the seventeenth time this year?" I finished. "Yes, yes I am."
"But you've already watched it so many times! Doesn't it ever get old?" She asked.
"How could you say such a thing?" I asked.
"It's almost like you're addicted."
"I'm not addicted. I can stop anytime I want, I just choose not to." I said with a smirk.
"(Y/N)..." Veronica groaned. As much as she growled me for being late to class because of my precious turtles, Veronica was quite the shy girl. She hardly ever spoke in class and I was her defender in PE class. We both excelled and sucked at opposite things. She was terrible with PE and Art, while I sucked at Maths and Science. She was great in the subjects I was awful in, and vise versa.
"Fine, I'll get in my uniform." I said, pausing the episode and closing my laptop. I got changed in my closet, then packed my laptop, books, and notepad, along with all my stationary. I attended one of the most prestigious boarding schools in the country, which was no fun. The teachers were strict and the only student I had managed to form a positive bond with was Veronica. I had formed plenty of negative bonds with students and teachers alike, but that's not important right now.
"I don't understand why we have to start the day with PE." Veronica said. "We get all sweaty and we end up stinking the rest of the day."
"You're not allowed to complain." I said, poking her cheek. "You use me as a human shield, and the only reason you stink is because of how much you cling to me." We entered the hallways as students made their way to their different classes. Veronica and I made our way to the gym, finding familiar students. We've been in the same classes for about three years now, back when we first started at the boarding school. I had many acquaintances, but I only had Veronica as a friend.
After getting into my PE clothes, I joined the rest of the class in the gym, standing between Veronica and two other kids I knew. Blake and Zion were twins, both with fiery red hair and bright blue eyes. Their only differences were: Blake had freckles and Zion had none, and Zion was slightly taller than Blake. But other than that, their red hair, their pale skin, their blue eyes, were all the same. Not exactly identical, but pretty close.
Veronica had her long black hair tied up in a ponytail, her dark skin glowing in the sunlight shining through the windows. Our gym teacher was in a lazy mood, so he put us in two teams and told us to play dodgeball. Our school was so 'prestigious' because of our principal's status and ties with the government. But the teachers? We had strict ones, and we had lazy ones. I mean, how did you expect me to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at least seventeen times this year without at least ONE lazy teacher?
Blake, Veronica, and I were put on the team opposite from Zion. "So, uh, (Y/N), that show you're watching, um..." Blake mumbled. Oh yeah, the twins' personalities were quite different. Blake was a shy sweetheart while Zion was an arrogant asshole. "I was looking into it, and do you know about a-any platforms I could watch it on- AH!" I caught a dodgeball right before it smacked him square in the face.
"I'll tell you after class." I said, chucking the dodgeball at a student's leg, knocking them to the ground, thus starting our dodgeball war. Due to this being such a prestigious school, the students were also, in a way, 'prestigious'. Most grew up in sheltered or strict homes, so I was the only student who knew of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Some students said they have heard about it, or were told by their parents that they were never allowed to watch the show. For example, Blake and Zion grew up in a very strict household, so they weren't allowed to watch cartoons or anything remotely violent. Due to that, Zion became incredibly invested in violence and thought cartoons were stupid after leaving the house and coming to the boarding school. Blake, on the other hand, is terrified of violence and loves cartoons.
