You're here. You've stuck it out. You believe in me. I hope this book has made you laugh, made you angry, and even made you question existence a little. Truth be told, dear reader, I feel the same way. I have put so much of myself into this book, trying to make it the best I can. The first few chapters are far from my best work, but I am proud of them, of me, of you, and how far we've come together. I apologize if this chapter feels different. I have come upon a new era in my life, and my writing is just an extension of myself. When I finish this monstrosity that has gone on for too long, I will most definitely edit and reform this book into what I know it can be. I am making this into a three-parter for your sanity and mine alike.

You're here. This book was definitely not your first choice, and I'm sure you've scoured the very edges of Wattpad for a well-written Reed900 fanfic that doesn't ship Hankcon. I'm sorry this is where you ended up. You've stumbled across my little mess of a book with a huge mess of a writer behind it. These next few chapters are very heavy, and there are a few triggers sprinkled throughout. I'll be sure to warn you. As always, I encourage you to vote and comment, and I urge you to do so for these next few chapters. Let me know how much you hate me 😁.  Now without further ado, I am so very happy to introduce to you, Chapter 14, Part 2 of Thirium Heart, written by phandomdevotee.

GAVIN'S P.O.V

I let go of Conan's hand as soon as I realized I was holding it. Why the phck was I holding the stupid bot's hand anyway? And why did he not care? I let the excitement of staying in a hotel for the first time since my childhood get to me. Now, to deal with the problem at hand...

"Not a word about this, okay? If I knew I was holding your hand, believe me, I would have let go way sooner."

"Defensive, are we?" Conan chuckled. He gave me a perplexed look and then made a fist underneath his chin. "I'm having the weirdest sense of deja vu right now..." he said teasingly. I gave the security camera a look like I was on The Office.

"I have no idea what you're on about, you dumb, defective escalator." Conan rolled his eyes and sighed. He smiled a small, vacant smile before changing the subject.

"So when was the last time you were in a hotel?" He questioned politely.

"I haven't stayed in one since I was a kid. Dad took me and Kamski to Cedar Point when we were 8, and we slept in one overnight."

"Aw. Was David a good father?"

I looked into my reflection in the elevator wall.

"Yeah, he was. At least, before Mom killed him." Conan's breath hitched and he put a hand over where his heart would be if he were human.

"Really? Oh my rA9, that's terrible. I had no idea."

"That right there's the reason I hid it, you robodouche. I don't want pity. It happened when I was about 16 or 17, on the tenth anniversary of their divorce. My mom was a crazy bitch and my dad was too good for this world. I bet your stupid computer head knows the rest." I looked at Conan's forehead to see his little light thingy spin and flash red. But it didn't. There was nothing there.

The elevator dinged, letting us off on our floor.

I stepped out first, my luggage in hand. Robocop followed after me, and we set off in the direction of our rooms. They took an unbelievable amount of time to find. The warm can of baked beans moved slowly, looking at each room number intently. When he stopped in front of a door, I stopped too. I was exhausted by the time we actually found our rooms.

"I'll take my room key, shithead," I said holding out my hand. I assumed that his stopping meant that he found our rooms.

"Detective, we'll be sharing a room."
