Zyron advanced and pushed Hyacinth backwards with a great force making her stumble a bit. It didn't hurt her but the aim was to get her to accidentally squash us. The ground shook with her  every footstep like an earthquake.

We all fell down and struggled to get on our feet. Hyacinth began to fall backwards, her shadow loomed over us. Panic began to stir. Mortals and monsters alike started to run for cover and so did I. I looked around for my siblings. No matter how much I told them not to, they were Hooks and were of course, stubborn and wanted to come along.

I easily spotted Harold struggling to stand with the earth shaking. He was trying to help Harriet stand. I easily gained my footing and ran to them, falling in between but hastily picking myself up.

"Come on!" I yelled at them in urgency. I grabbed both of them by their hands and helped them stand. We quickly ran away and took cover by the palm trees with the others. Only people from our side were left. The monsters had either vanished, squashed or been finished off.

We turned our attention back to the fight. Hyacinth was close to falling when she quickly regained her balance and threw herself forward. As she did, she pushed Zyron making him fall into the sea creating a giant wave. They moved the battle deeper into the ocean waters, which with their size, was just ankle deep.

Hyacinth charged at him with a blue scorching flame in her hand and sent it flying to his direction. Zyron easily dodged the attack with his silver shield, the fire extinguished into vapor and the metal emitted smoke sizzling from the heat. He pulled out his sword and swung it at Hyacinth. Hyacinth took a step back, making a small startled sound and blocked it with her two swords creating an x. The swords were summoned by the blink of an eye.  With a grunt she pushed Zyron backwards and further into deep waters.

Hyacinth lit herself in blue flames. Her hair glowed brighter than ever and was half suspended as if there was air blowing underneath it. It contrasted her pale skin and made her fiery blue eyes glow  monstrously. The ocean surrounding her feet evaporated and created a cloud of smoke to partly envelope her. Her armour appeared to be deathly black and her swords were large poisonous thorns. The silver crown of skulls and roses with thorns adorned her forehead. She almost looked like a murderous ghost.

We stared at her in fear but in the same time, awe. She was a painting of power and grace. Strength and elegance. Harold sent me a look of disbelief. He pointed in Hyacinth's general direction. "That's.... T-That's your girlfriend?"

Finding my tongue almost impossible to move, I only nodded in reply.

"Harry, a word of advice?" Evie spoke up with a shaky voice turning to me.

"Yeah?"

"For your sake, don't get on her bad side"

Zyron rolled his eyes "Always so dramatic"

Thunder rumbled in the sky and stormy gray clouds appeared above his head. His eyes glowed bright too and lightning surrounded his body except where his feet touched the water.

Hyacinth and Zyron charged towards each other, swinging their swords. The metal clanged and a vibration surged making the waves fly up and some water even sprayed at us. Hyacinth burns Zyron and he howls in pain taking several steps back away from her. He threw Hyacinth a lightning bolt that she dodged.

He threw another and another and another  but Hyacinth only kept dodging. It went on like that for a while. Hyacinth docked and swerved out of the way of danger in quick movement. She destroyed some lightning strikes with her fire but some were too strong for the fire to handle. Sometimes she also caught the lightning strike on her swords and tried throwing it back to Zyron who easily made it vanish.
