10: Son Of Hercules

THE FIRST ATTEMPT TO GET THE WAND WAS A DISASTER....

Thanks to Jay not listening to Mal, we had to go to school now. Even me! Im 5000 years old! Why do I need to do this?! I waited at my locker beside Mal's for the person assigned to show me to class since we had first period together.

Thankfully, first period is something Im naturally good at. History. I mean come on. Ive lived through it all and expeirenced it first hand.

Then I feel a tap on the back. I turn around to see an attractive guy with brown hair and blue eyes. He was tall and had a stocky build. Those muscles were inhumanely huge. He gave me a bright smile

"Hey. Are you Hyacinth?"

"Yeah"

" Im Henry. Im the one to show you to first period"

"Oh cool"

"Shall we then?"

All the way to History we talked about each other. He's a pretty interesting guy. He's really funny too and hot.

"What about Harry?"

The question came out of nowhere. I was taken aback. I loved Harry. No. I still love him. Under all the anger and pain I do. But he chose Uma. So I think I'll give Harry a shot. What?! I mean Henry! All these names starting with H (including mine) is confusing me.

We arrive in history class and sit next to each other.

The history teacher pretty much liked me I guess. I mean I am a figure from history.

"Hyacinth, coming from someone who has lived through it, what was the ancient French cure for headaches?" The teacher asked me.

All heads rotated to look at me. I take a glance at Henry who gives me a supportive thumbs up. I shoot him a quick thankful smile in return.

"Well, sir the ancient French believed headaches were caused by evil spirits. So they drill a hole in the patient's head as to release this evil spirit. Many people survived this operation because many skulls were dug up with partly healed holes and I spoke to some French in the Underworld about it"

The teacher gave an impressed smile. "Thank you Hyacinth"

"Good job" Henry whispered as I sat back down.

"Thanks"

The bell rang and History was over. I waited at my lockers for the next person to lead me to class. Henry walked me to the lockers.

"So how'd you find History?" He said giving a charming smile.

I smiled back. Its contagious. How can you not smile around this guy? Is he Happy the dwarf's son? But he's too tall for that...

"Pfft. Easy. Who needs to study when you lived through it?"

"I know the feeling"

I raise my eyebrows in surprise. Wait....

"You're immortal?!"

He chuckles. "Yeah. My Dad's Hercules"

I blank out after that. He's Hercules son. The child of the guy I attempted to kill........ Oh Styx.

"......Oh. Uh...."

It suddenly became awkward for me.

He suddenly laughed.

"See this is why I didnt tell you. I didnt want you to feel awkward"

"You hate me dont you?"

"Why would I hate you?"

"I mean our parents are enemies and I kinda try to kill your Dad when I was 300"

"Our parents buisness is their buisness. Besides, my Dad's still alive right?" He chuckles totally nonchalant about it.

"So you're fine with me?"

"Yeah you seem like a pretty cool gal. I gotta get to class. See you around?"

"Yeah see you"

He left and I continued to wait for the person to take me to my next class. Whoever this person is they are taking so long and Im getting impatient. I've been standing here for like 5 minuets. Its not like I care about being late and all its just that I hate being kept waiting.

"So ready for class?" A voice said behind me. I spin around saying.

"Finally! What took you so long? Honestly I thought AK's were supposed to be punctu- Oh its you"

"Yeah. Punctual isnt really me" Rose said. She wore a yellow top and blue jeans with sneakers. She did not look like a princess at all.

"What happened to the princess get up?"

"I was forced into that dress. It took Mom five hours to get my whole body willingly in it and Dad almost went Beast"

"Sounds like fun" I scoffed.

I looked around to see she was alone.

"What happened to Prissy Pink?" I ask.

"Who? Audrey? I dont really care. She can walk her glittery pink butt over a cliff for all I care"

I laughed. "Are you sure youre a princess? Cos youre not acting all posh as I expected princesses to be"

"Well theoretically your Dad is King of the Underworld so youre a princess too"

"But really lets face it. Acting princess posh all the time is"

"BORING!" We said together. We laughed and high fived.

"You know, you're gonna be my bestest friend. I thought I couldnt stand a prissy princess but unlike Audrey, youre different"

"Oh Id rather die then be with that girl" she said throwing her hands up.

I raise my eyebrows. "Oh really?" I drawled.

She gave me a face and said "Nope. No"

"You should really be careful saying that infront of a child of Death"

"Point taken"

We walked to Science together and became lab partners. I have to say not all princesses in Auradon are that horrible.

LATER WE WERE GATHERED UP IN GOODNESS CLASS....

Strangely enough it was easy for me and FGM said I have "AK" material somewhere in me. Pfft. Yeah right. The boys had to put on a show again and FGM suggested they save the energy for the tourney field.

"Oh thats fine. Whatever that is, we'll pass"

FGM ignored them and turned to me. "Hyacinth , the cheerleading team is missing a member. Would you like to join try outs for the open slot? They could use someone with your caliber and experience"

"I'd really rather be in the game playing with the boys than cheering from the side. Cant I try out for tourney?"

It sounded like fun to me. I could use some competition around here.

"No. Its not me but the stated rules are girls cant play tourney. A team should be comprised of a captain and 8 men. Although the team couldve really used someone with your skills"

I gave a small sigh. Back in Ancient Rome in Sparta, women were more than just cheerers.

"Fine. I'll try out for cheerleading"

Jay gave an amused look.

"We get to see Hady in a cheerleader outfit"

"Oh Styx do shut up"

Soon enough though. I was already in try outs showing some moves I know. I did back flips and cart wheels. Jay and Carlos did an awesome job. Er.... Mostly Jay. The coach liked him.

I on the other hand got my place as cheerleader. Audrey, she was cheer captain and did not like the coach's descison.

She'll have to deal with it. I'll be here for a long time.
