Parker Lucus Lee loved his family.

His mother was a beautiful Latina woman with thick, flowing hair that dipped just past her shoulders. There were constantly small specks of paint smeared somewhere on her dark skin, bright blues and pastel pinks staining her cheeks and hands. Her eyes, though dark, were intense and beautiful, always showing her emotions. They sparkled with excitement, shone with pride, crackled intensely with anger, and softened with love and care. Lucia was a free spirit and a loving mother, but that wasn't to say that she was constantly calm and laid back. She was emotional but rarely acted out because of her emotions. Instead, she let them out through her art. She spent hours painting and had honed her skills throughout the years, slowly becoming more and more skilled with making wonderful works of art from detailed flowers to abstract art pieces and Parker loved it. He loved the moments they had where he would paint at her side as she worked on her own landscapes, talking as they watched the world go by or even when he would just watch her as she painted.

Similarly, Parker had a wonderful relationship with his father, Aaron. He had lighter skin and eyes than Parker's mother and was slightly toned, with a deep, calming voice. Aaron, unlike Lucia, was not an artist in the way she was and he was less of a free spirit. Instead of specializing in paints, he specialized in wires and computers. He was incredibly skilled in programming computers as well as repairing them and this specialization granted him a position teaching computer technology at a local college. Parker thought it was the most exciting thing to come into class with his dad and participate as he taught. Even better, though, were the times when his dad hung out with him at home, helping to teach him to program his own little games on the family computer and playing them with him once they were completed. Over the years, the games grew more and more exciting and complex but the excitement of showing them to his father and playing them with him never faded.

Their family was tightly knit and worked together wonderfully despite any differences. Lucia loved Aaron's work on computers and admired how capable he was with something that seemed so complex and uninteresting from afar and Aaron adored how passionate Lucia was and how she could turn paints and a scrap of paper into something beautiful. of course they had their problems as any family would, but they all loved one another and they all made it work despite the issues that they faced. Both of Parker's parents loved their son more than anything in the world and loved sharing their passions with him. Parker looked up to his parents as his greatest role models while still never feeling pressured to follow in their footsteps. They had their problems, but Parker loved his family.

But Parker had ruined all of it and, now, he could never face them again.
