Spindly legs protruding from the mechanical body of the small creature scuttled across the surface of her arm. The metallic outside of the being shone brightly, it's beautiful glint foretelling the newness of the creature. Its movements were near flawlessly smooth, moving as though it were a real, living spider rather than little more than a highly advanced AI now housed inside of a tiny robotic body to make it more portable.
Angling her arm differently, the woman allowed the creature to crawl up her arm carefully and balance on her fingertips. The censors that acted as its "eyes" settled upon her own, tilting her its head at her as though awaiting instructions from her- its master.
Instead of speaking to it, though, she simply used her free hand to quickly write down some notes on the creature as she observed. Although she kept her facial expression rather neutral, it was clear that she was thrilled with how it had turned out. The robot has easy access to every secret and every piece of information the internet held in the past and the future and had amazing hacking capabilities rivalled by nothing else she had ever created- including the previous versions of the SQUIP. Its process was powerful and quick and would likely- well, hopefully- work perfectly well even when outside of strong WiFi signals. She would have to test that out soon. Aside from the few things she had yet to test, it was nearly perfect, exceeding every single expectation she had had for the small AI, and she would be lying if she said that the tiny spiderling of a robot playfully but carefully exploring her arms and shoulders wasn't a little endearing.
If she wasn't careful, she might end up getting more attached to the AI than she should- there were many complications with it, even if it did seem perfect from where she was, and the chances of it not functioning perfectly were still high despite the tests and caution. Mrs. Dillinger was many things, but careless was not one of them and, although she was always furiously devastated when she and her husband's experiments and projects didn't work, she never let it ruin her and the SQUIP would be no exception, even if it was one of the most powerful things they had ever created and would surely help them dramatically.
"Now," she held the creature up to her face and made direct eye-contact- or as close as she could get to that with something that didn't technically have real eyes, "Let's see what you can really do."
