Chapter 8

Today's Sports Festival. Maaga kaming pumunta ni Sapphire sa university dahil tutulong pa kami sa pagdecorate. We haven't finished it yesterday. Kaya kailangan na bago pa magsidatingan lahat ng students, we need to finish it.

Ididikit na namin ang tarpaulin but it's too high.

"Aya, right? Can u do this for me?" she asked at iwinagwag ang side ng tarpaulin.

"Ah. Sige Ate" pahumble kong sabi at kinuha ang tarpaulin.

Tumayo ako sa ibabaw ng tatlong chairs. Ididikit ko na sana sa wall ang tarpaulin ng bigla akong ma-out balance.

Napasigaw ako. Pumikit at hinintay ang pagbagsak ko. After 10 seconds ng pagpikit, ibinukas ko ang mata ko and I saw the two chinky brown eyes of him. I feel so safe in his arms. It's like we're in a slow motion. Then suddenly a light striked on my face. They're testing the spotlight. I love staring at his eyes. It's my type.

Natigil ang pagstare ko sa kanya ng tawagin ako ni Sapphire.

"Aya, tumigil ka na sa kakatingin sa kanya! Wag kang makipaglandian dito. Unfair mo! Tumulong ka dito" sarkastiko niyang sabi.

Hindi naman ako nakikipaglandian. Meron ba siya ngayon? Ang bitter niya.

"Guys, let's make it fast. Within 10 minutes, the students will assemble at their respective places!" malakas na sabi ng taga Art Section.

After 5 minutes, natapos na namin ang decoration. Tapos na namin ang part namin dito. The stage have sporty theme. Kitang-kita talaga na Sports Festival ngayon.

Nagsisidatingan na ang mga estudyante at pumuwesto na sila sa kani-kanilang pwesto. Nandoon lang kami nina Sapphire sa gilid.

"Welcome Students! Fix yourself because the program will begin after a minute. Thank You! " MC yata ang nagsalita sa harap.

Biglang tumahimik ang buong stadium.

"Goodmorning Ladies and Gentlemen. This is the most awaited Sports Festival to all college students. I just want to welcome you all on this day's activity. Sports is" Ang dami-dami pang sinasabi ng MC sa harap.

Tahimik na nakikinig ang mga kapwa naming estudyante. Wala man lang kasing sense of humor ang MC for today.

May mga nag-intermission number from the dance club, choir and an act. The programme is good.

"Please give her a round of applause, our guest of honor and speaker, Mrs. Arabella Reyes" we clapped our hands as we welcome the speaker.

I am so surprised when I saw Jared's Girlfriend walking in front of the stage. She isn't the speaker. Maybe she'll represent her mother?

"Pretty Ladies, and Handsome Gentleman. Visitors and the Staffs, Goodmorning" she paused and smiled.

She have an ethereal beauty. She's as beautiful as Sapphire. You can easily recognize her as a model because of her slim body and height.

Many students are gossiping.

"She's very beautiful. She's like an artist." they complimented.

"I like her." someone said

"I like her too." another boy said.

"She is the runway model. She's still in college and she already have a boyfriend. It's Jared Villanueva, I watched their vlive huh, they're so sweet." a girl said then they screamed.

"I'm the daughter of Mrs. Arabella. I'm Yzsabelle Reyes. My Mom is still sorry that she can't stand in front of you all but she wrote her message for you. " she looked at our direction and she smiled.
