Chapter 9

Naglalakad kami ni Sapphire sa hallway ng matandaan ko ang nangyari kahapon.

"How's your date yesterday?" I asked habang linalabas ang phone ko.

"It was a sweet romantic date" she said while smiling. Parang inaalala niya ang nangyari kahapon.

"I kissed him" napamulagat at napatigil pa ako sa paglalakad sa sinabi niya.

"In his cheek. Akala mo lips no? Swerte na niya kung sa bibig ko siya hinalikan! So relax, we didn't kissed each others lips." pangiti-ngiti pa niyang sabi.

I'm scrolling my Facebook account when a familiar person popped up. Ang dami ng comments and heart reaction.

It's Sapphire and Prince at a restaurant smiling with each other.

"OMG! The great Ethereal and Prince of BTS University dating at a high class restaurant"

"My gash, they are so cute!"

"PhirePrince love love"

"They look so good together. I love it!" those are some of the comments

Ipinakita ko kay Sapphire ang photo pero hindi man lang siya nasurpresa.

"Nakita ko na yan Kanina. Thanks to the one who posted that" sabi pa niya.

"Whatttt? Pag kumalat eto, madaming mambabash sa iyo. Remember? Prince Chua is a very popular in this university."
i said. Wala man lang akong nakitang pagkabigla.

"I know. Remember also that I'm called "Ethereal" so I don't need to worry. Besides, I have a suitor as popular as Prince. He'll manage that and don't ask me again. I can handle all the bashers." she confidently said.

Hindi na lang ako umimik. She's really a brave lady. Malapit na kami sa harap ng room namin when Sapphire tapped my shoulder.

"Aya, do you see what I see?" she asked and pointed her finger at the north direction.

It's Sparsh and Arianne talking at each other. Bakit sila nag-uusap at ano ang pinag-uusapan nila?
Are they close now? Kung ano man ang pinag-uusapan nila, labas na ako doon.

Hahakbang na sana ako papasok ng room namin pero nang sulyapan ko ulit silang dalawa, Sparsh tapped Arianne's shoulder and he smiled. Tsk! That Man, Nakikipaglandian.

"Bakit kaya sila nag-uusap? Hala, baka siya ang gusto ni Sparsh at hindi ikaw. Baka inaaya niya si Ms. Torres na makipagdate sa kanya sa weekend" lokong saad ni Sapphire. Eh ano naman kung ganun?

"Then be it. Ano bang paki-alam ko kung ano ba sila? God! Tumigil ka sa kakangiti Sapiro" padabog akong naglakad papunta sa upuan ko.

We're waiting for our professor. She's now 20 minutes late. Our subject for this hour is Business Financing.

"Attention everyone! Mrs. Tan is not around. She had an emergency meeting at the office with the head. So? Let's have fun! "masayang sabi ni Ms. President.

May ganoong side pala siya ha. Naghiyawan naman ang mga kaklase. Napa Yes na lang din kami ni Sapphire.

I want to pee. Busy na sa kakatext si Sapphire sa Prinsipe niya. Kaya hindi ko na lang siya inistorbo.

I went to the comfort room. Success! Lumabas na ako sa cubicle at tinignan ang sarili sa salamin.

"You haven't changed. You're still the same Aya" I thought I'm just imagining when I saw Arianne looking at the mirror but she's really here.

Kahit gusto ko siyang pansinin, hindi ko ginawa. Tumalikod na ako ng magsalita siya ulit.

"I hate you so much Aya! I really hate you that much to the extent na gusto kong sirain ang buhay mo, siraan ka sa lahat ng tao. Magkakalat ako ng fake news tungkol sa iyo, that's what I want to do. I suffered so much because of you. Nahirapan akong magtiwala ulit sa mga tao ng dahil sa iyo. Ayoko na ring magkaroon ng kaibigan because of what you did.You stole Jared from me. You traitor! You're my bestfriend pero ng dahil sa lintik na pag-ibig, nasira tayo. Nasira tayo ng dahil sa nagpadala ka sa bugso ng damdamin mo. You choosed him over me,Aya. Iyon ang pinakamasakit. I just can't accept na mas mahalaga siya sa iyo kaysa sa akin kaya pinili mong maglihim. Na after 2 years, masakit pa rin sa akin. Because I treated you as my sister. Do you still remember? Noong elementary pa tayo, kahit weekend, magkasama pa rin tayo. Masayang-masaya na akala ko, hanggang pagtanda na but I was wrong. When you are in a relationship with Jared, isinumpa ko na sana maghiwalay kayo agad. Na sana pinaglaruan ka lang ni Jared, para naman masaktan ka. Pero wala eh, mahal ka pala ng lintik na iyon. Hanggang sa magtagal kayo, that's the time na I realized how stupid I am. But the feelings I have for Jared grew. It wasn't an infatuation. It's love and it's bullshit! Nagmamahal ako ng taong hinding-hindi ako mamahalin. I was insecure at you. Ng mapansin kong lumalamig si Jared sa iyo, palagi akong nakasubaybay sa inyo. And when Jared ended his relationship with you, I was very happy pero Aya, kahit anong galit ko sa iyo, naawa ako sa iyo ng makita ko kung gaano ka nadurog. You're too inlove with him! I was there watching you. Bumagsak ang ulan pero hindi ka man lang tumayo, kaya mas lalo akong nagalit sa iyo. Bigla na lang sumulpot ang isang lalaki at pinayungan ka. Then I realized na hindi ako ang kailangan mo kundi iba. Senior Sparsh is kind so you better not hurt him." she let out the pain she's hiding. She's  holding her tears.

"Bullshit! I hate this feeling. I don't want to cry in front of you, Fuck" curse pa niya.

I gave her my handkerchief. It's her gift to me two years ago.

"Ari, I'm really sorry for what happened in the past. Hindi ko sinadyang mahalin si Jared. Kung  pwede lang pigilan ang damdamin, ginawa ko na noon coz I swear, I don't want to hurt you Ari. You're the only one left but you choosed to end our friendship because of my foolishness. It's my fault. Hindi lang ikaw ang nasaktan Ari, ako din. Alam mong ikaw lang ang totoong kaibigan ko noon. Jared helped me to get over. Siya iyong palaging nandoon nung wala ka na. That's the reason why my feelings for him deepen. Pinilit kong kinalimutan ang nangyari sa ating dalawa. I choosed to be happy. Hindi na ako nabigla nung nag transfer ka sa other school. Sinisi ko ang sarili ko, Ari.  I'm so sorry. I'm really really sorry" I cried.

Kahit naman kasi anong galit mo sa isang tao, kung matagal kayong nagkasama, mangingibabaw pa rin ang pagmamahal. I still want her to be back.

"Aya, when time comes, please don't go back to Jared. Someone's waiting for your heart to open again. Someone wants to enter in your life not just a friend, but as the one you love." advice niya.

Naguluhan ako sa sinabi niya.

"Jared won't come back to me. He's in love right now. He's so sincere to Yzsabelle" I said.

"No! You don't understand. You and Jared will face each other again soon. Just Prepare your heart Aya" pagkasabi niya iyon, lumabas na siya.

Gaya ng dati, nang-iwan na naman siya ng tanong sa aking isipan.

Bakit ba hindi na lang niya sabihin ang gusto niyang sabihin?
