Chapter 6

Days have passed. Dumadami na rin ang ginagawa namin. There are lot of activities ahead.

Nagising ako ng maaga. At nang kakain na ako, nandoon na sina Mom and Dad. Ate Serene is on a business trip. She's really successful now. Pero wala pang naipapakilalang boyfriend.

"How's your study, Aya?" Dad asked. Wow, for the first time, tinanong niya ako kung kumusta ang pag-aaral ko.

"Good" I shortly replied. He didn't bother to ask me if I love it already. Tsk.

"It's good to hear that" Mom said.

"Do you have a suitor or suitors?" Mom suddenly asked.

"No, I don't have one. Are you worried?" I asked back.

Hindi nila sinagot ang tanong ko. I expect they'll say yes, they are worried. Pinagpatuloy ko na lang ang pagkain ko.

I respect my parents to the point na sinusunod ko lahat ang gusto nila kahit masakit sa kalooban ko.

Masakit ang ulo ko ngayon. I can't sleep last night because Sparsh' image keeps on popping on my mind.

"I'm glad I made you smile. You're right that the sunset is beautiful but you're more beautiful than that. You're the most beautiful view I've ever seen." Walangya! Bakit ganun si Sparsh?

"Bakit ganyan ang mata mo Aya? Hindi ka ba nakatulog? Ang pangit mo! " she said and laughed.

Pangit ako? Pero sabi ni Sparsh I'm more beautiful than the sunset. Geez! Pumasok na naman siya sa isip ko.

Am I too attached on him? I'm afraid I might depend on him too much. I can't stand if I'll hurt him someday. 

We're walking at the hallway nang biglang sumulpot si Sparsh.

"Goodmorning Shanaya" he greeted. "Oh, Goodmorning din Sapphire" pahabol pa niya.

Sapphire greeted her back and I just smiled back.

"Una na kami Sparsh" paalam ko at hinagip ko na ang kamay ni Sapphire.

I know Sapphire is now wondering what's happening.

"Aya, teka nga! Bakit umiiwas ka kay Sparsh ? What happened? Umamin ba siya o may ginawa ba siyang hindi mo nagustuhan? " she asked. Suminghap muna ako bago siya sinagot.

"Nothing happened wrong. Red days ko, okay? Parang kumukulo ang dugo ko sa mga lalake" pagsisinungaling ko. Kapag sinabi ko ang totoo, she will just push me to Sparsh and that's what I don't like.

Nakarating na kami sa room. Sakto namang pumasok na ang professor namin.

"I will announce something class so listen" Sir Syntax spoke. Everybody stopped.

"Sports Festival is approaching so the president and vice president, please give me the list of the schedule. Pass it before lunch break. And before I forgot, there will be a meeting later at the SSG Council Office. It is asked that President should attend. Since your president have things to do, I want a representative" he explained.

Sports Festival pala. Akala ko kung ano ng importante. At kailangan ng representative, kumuha na lang sila sa list ng officers.

"I want Ms. Shanaya Pasion to be the representative. Ms. Pasion, attend the meeting at exactly 11:00 am" he said. Did I just hear my surname?

Did I? What? Why me? Ganoon na ba ako kamalas ngayon? Anong gagawin ko doon? I was once an officer when I was in my high school days. I was confident that time. But now, I'm not. I'm a freshman here.

"Sapphire, can you be the representative? Masakit ang ulo ko" pagkukunwari ko sabay hawak sa ulo ko.

"Ikaw Aya ha! Wag mo akong lokohin. Kakaloka ka! Palibhasa, nandoon si Sparsh" sabi niya sabay tapik sa ulo ko.

Si Sparsh nandun? Paano niya nalaman? Ah, naaalala ko na.
"I'm Sparsh Rayven Villanueva, the President of all the Presidents"pagpapakilala pa niya noon.

When the clock tic to 10:45, pumunta na ako sa harap ng SSGC Office. Medyo marami na rin ang naghihintay na bumukas ang pinto. After 5 minutes, bumukas na. May tao pala sa loob?

Ganito pala ka organize ang office ng SSGC. Lahat naka arrange in its place. There are trophies,medals and certificates. Palibhasa, BTS University.

"Have a sit, Presidents" it's Sparsh. Totoo talaga ang sinabi niya. He's still on his 3rd year college but he's the highest among all of the officers.

"You are all aware that Sports Festival is approaching. May I have your ears and mind. We and Arts Section are assigned to be the Committee on Stage Decoration. So I'm assuming that you all can suggest something that will make the stage perfect. You can also include Business Matters" He began. Ang dami pa niyang sinabi. Sparsh is really a smart one. I'm beginning to feel proud of him.

Madaming naisuggest ang mga presidents. From stage decoration to activities like selling during the Sport Fest Day.

"Ms. Pasion, you're the only who didn't suggest anything, any suggestion? Do you have one? " nabigla ako sa tanong niya.

"Actually, I'm wondering. We can sell snacks and---" pinutol niya ang sinabi ko.

"It's given. Another please" sabi niya ulit. Wala na akong maisip.

"Sorry, I don't have something to suggest" I apologized. Tumingin silang lahat sa akin.

"I guess, you're not a business-minded lady. Why took Business Ad then?". Napahiya ako sa sinabi niya. He's so cold. Ibang-iba siya ngayon.

Natapos ang meeting pass 12. I stayed quiet after that embarrassing moment.

Lumabas ako ng tikom ang bibig. Naramdaman ko na lang that Sparsh walked beside me.

"Shanaya, why are you so cold a while back? "he asked. Napansin pala niya. Eh kung sabibin ko sa kanyang ginugulo niya ang isipan ko.

"Can I ask the same question too?  Why are you so cold a while back?" I asked him back.

Tumigil siya sa paglalakad kaya napatigil din ako.

"No, I'm not. Ganoon lang talaga kapag may meeting. I usually say that. I want to hear everybody's suggestion to make it fair." explain niya. Ano bang magagawa ko? In the first place, hindi ko hinangad na pumasok sa Business Ad.

"Okay then, I'm Sorry if I can't suggest something else. I'm not business-minded like you. Why I took Business Ad Course? My parents wanted me to pursue it. Satisfied with my explanation, Mr. Villanueva? " and that made him speechless.
