Oceane
Flashback: 2010
"Ugh, what am I doing!?" I exclaimed and rolled Flynn off me.
"Oceane..." He said as I stood up, raking his hair with a sigh
"You're just so darn cute and sweet and really good looking and and amazing!" I said as I paced while he sat up.
"I'm not seeing the problem here?" He gestured his hand.
"The problem is, Flynny, that we can't! I want to! It's wrong! What would our parents say?"
"My mother always loved you Oceane. She would be happy for us..."
I nervously bit my lip as he walked over, his body close to mine as he moved a curl out of my face.
"I need you more than ever Oceane...." He kissed my neck and I wrapped my arms about his neck.
"Oh don't say that...",
He pulled away and I looked into his eyes... "I know you're right... Deep down... So for Emma and your mom... I'll resist the urge. As much as I can..."
"Me too... That's a deal?"
"Shall we seal with a kiss?"
I smiled and said "even in mourning still as charming as ever..." I kissed his lip lightly and felt a tear on his cheek.
"I'm really going to go now..."
"If you must..."
"I'm going to check on Emma... If you need me... Come by..." I said as I went to the door.
I knocked on the door and went into mine and Emmys room.
"Emmy?"
"Yeah?" She murmured, turned towards the wall.
I lay next to her and hugged her tightly.
"No school for you ... I'm staying with you..."
"You will?"
"Of course... We're going to cry while eating ice cream and watching Beverly hills 90 and clueless on repeat."
She sniffled and said "thank you Oceane... Love you." She turned and hugged me.
" love you too Emmy..."
7am
I dragged Flynn, literally, down the street
"Oceane..." He groaned.
"You know winters, I'm not particularly happy about dragging you to the store either but my mom won't let me go on my own!"
"You're a big girl, you can manage yourself."
"Trying telling my mother that!" I slowed down and let him catch up, my hand still holding his.
"Gonna rain." He looked up.
"So we need to hurry.", I started dragging him again.
"You're lucky I like you Smith else I would be in bed drowning my sorrows."
"How?" I raised a conspicuous eyebrow.
"A nice alcoholic beverage..."
"And where are you getting that from?"
"I have my sources."
I stopped walking again and said "your 16!"
"Do I look it?"
