I was riding Stormrunner through a forest trail, enjoying the cool autumn wind that blew lightly. "Winter's coming soon.." I mumbled slightly to myself and Stormrunner shook his head and snorted. I chuckled lightly as we came to the edge of an open field that had a race track, some barrels, and a few things to jump over. "Come on buddy, lets do some training." I smiled and we walked over to the race track. We got to the starting line and I got out a stop watch I had bought when I got Stormrunner. "On three Stormrunner." I said. "1, 2... 3!" I yelled, started the timer and Stormrunner took off. We ran through the track a few times before I had Stormrunner stop so he could rest. We trotted to the side where the field and forest met and I got off of Stormrunner, tying his reigns to a low handing tree branch. I leaned on the same trees trunk, watching as the clouds hide the sun from the sky. When the clouds cleared after half an hour the warmth of the sun was making me sleepy.
Kovu's POV
I was on Oreo, walking through the forest when I had saw a dapple grey horse that was in the stall next to Oreo. I had Oreo walk over to the horse and that's when I saw the horse was sleeping next to the girl who had slapped me a few weeks ago, and I still had a mark where she slapped me. I got off of Oreo and walked over to her and shook her shoulder. "Hey get up you'll get a cold." I said as I shook her. She slapped my hand away in her sleep. I sighed and kneeled beside her, taking off the jacket I was wearing and put it around her. I stood up and walked back over to Oreo who looked at the girl then back at me and snorted, stomping her hooves on the ground. "Hey calm down Oreo." I said and patted her neck, getting onto her back. I turned her around, heading back to my dorm room.

Yumi's POV
I woke the the sun in my closed eyes and blinked my open, putting my hand up to hide the sun. I yawned and snuggled into the jacket that was on my shoulders to block out most of the cold. "Wait I didn't bring a jacket.." I mumbled and looked at the black jacket. I shrugged, decided to find the owner of it and return it. I put the jacket on and stood up, grabbing the reigns and jumped onto Stormrunners back. "Lets get back before I get into trouble boy." I told him and we ran through the forest, jumping over fallen logs along the way.

We trotted into the barn and over to the end where Stormrunners stall was. Once we were there I noticed that the horse next to his stall wasn't there. "Strange.." I mumbled and put Stormrunner into his stall. I then heard the barn doors open and I looked out from his stall and saw the black and white horse walking inside. Riding on her was the boy who still has yet to say sorry. I growled to myself and finished getting everything off of him and walked out of his stall, closing the door. When I did I saw the boy waiting, leaning on the post that separated our two stalls. "What?" I growled. He held out his hand. "I would like my jacket now that you're awake." He said calmly. I blinked, looking at him then the jacket he gave to me. I blushed and took it off, throwing it at him. "T-thanks..." I mumbled and walked out.

"Guys I'm back." I called once I walked into our dorm. Kit and Kat both looked over at me from their beds. "You've been out a while. You missed supper." Kat said and I chuckled lightly. "Yeah I fell asleep out in the woods." I confessed. "Are you ok?! It must've been freezing without any form of jacket!" Kit said to me and I nodded. "Yeah someone saw me and gave me their jacket." I said and went over to my bed and started to tell them the story.

I took a breath, finishing the story and looked at my two sisters. "Really?! Maybe that's his way of saying sorry I almost ran you over!" Kit said and I shrugged. "I personally like it better when they say sorry." I mumbled. Kat nodded. "Yeah I would like them to say it too." She agreed and Kit rolled her eyes. "Come on tomorrow we are going to have a school competition. "Sounds fun." I smiled and got under my blankets. I turned off the lamp beside my bed and fell into a deep sleep.
