It had been three days since the Halloween ball and the sudden kiss from Kovu and I, Yumi, was avoiding him. Why you ask? Because the more I kept thinking about the whole dance the more I got mad. I peeked into the stables and saw no one was there. I skipped inside happily and opened Stormrunners stall who trotted out, everything already on. I froze as I looked at my horse before turning around to see Kovu leaning on the side of a stall. "Knew you would ride him." He smirked. I glared daggers at him and got onto Stormrunner. "Lets go Stormrunner!" I said to the horse who neighed and ran out of the barn. I heard Kovu shouting after me but I didn't stop.

I had Stormrunner run to the field we were in the other day. We trotted to the other side, father from all the race stuff. I jumped off of Stormrunner and tied him to a low hanging tree branch. I leaned on the tree, closing my eyes but felt like someone had followed me. I opened them and saw Kovu a few feet in front of me. "I have nothing to say to you.." I mumbled and was about to move away but he grabbed both my wrists and put them above my head. I looked away, not wanting to make any sort of eye contact but he then grabbed my chin and forced me to look him at. I stood there without saying anything, waiting for him to talk. "Why do you avoid me?" He asked coolly. "Because I'm mad at you." I muttered in the coldest tone ever. "Why are you made at me?" He asked again. "I don't know!" I blurted out. He laughed lightly. "Well I'm not going to leave you alone flower." He growled playfully in his wolf voice. I giggled softly. "But I don't wanna be eaten by a big bad wolf!" I pretended to pout. "I would never eat you flower." He laughed. He had loosened the grip on my wrists so I wriggled free and ducked into the forest, hiding behind a tree. I couldn't help but giggle when I heard him howl and run around the woods where I was. He must've heard me because he jumped in front of me. "Found you!" He barked wolfishly. I squealed and started running back to the field. But him being taller then me and much faster he tackled me playfully to the ground once in the field. We rolled around for what seemed like forever. We stopped rolling around, him on top of me. I was smiling happily, putting my arms around his neck. I leaned forward and kissed him lightly on the lips. After a few seconds I pulled away. "Sorry for avoiding you." I mumbled. He shook his head and kissed me again. "It's fine." He smiled and laid beside me, intertwining his fingers with mine. We laid there watching as the sky turned to a pale pink as the sun set. I moved closer to Kovu, feeling the cold wind blow on my skin. He wrapped his arms around me and I took in his scent and smiled. I mumbled something but it was muffled out from my facing behind buried in his chest, though, like he knew what I said he replied. "I love you too Yumi." He smiled.

We soon decided it was time to go back to the school. We stood up, hand in hand as we got back onto our horses. We trotted back in silence, my cheeks a bright shade of pink. As we put them away Kovu instantly grabbed my hand and I giggled. "You seem protective." I smiled. He looked over at me. "Well I have to protect my little flower from others." He said with a smile. I giggled and we walked to the cafeteria.

We walked into the large room and went over to the line. Once we grabbed food we walked to where my sisters and two boys were also sitting. We sat down next to each other, Kit and Kat looked at us. "What?" I asked, a confused look on my face. "Noothing." They both giggled. I blinked my eyes before shrugging it off. I started eating my food and my face turned a dark shade of pink when Kovu leaned over and stole a bit of my food. I looked over at him. "W-why did you do that?!" I asked. He smiled and gave off a small laugh. "Because." He smiled, I just sighed and kept eating my food. After we all fninished we started heading out. "I'll catch up guys I just gotta do something." I said to Kit and Kat who both stole glances at each other before walking off. I turned back at Kovu and smiled. "Goodnight." I said lightly. "Goodnight." He said back before I lightly kissed his cheek. "Aw, what kind of goodnight kiss is that!" He laughed, picking me up and kissing me on the lips. I kissed back and he set me down. "Love you flower." He said. "Love you wolfy." I smiled. We both turned around and I headed to my dorm, hearing someone running off as I came closer to a turn.

I opened the dorm rooms door and the first thing I saw was Kit and Kat smiling widely. "What?" I asked. "YOU'RE DATING KOVU!" They both yelled. I turned a beet red. "H-how did you k-know?!" I stammered. "Well.. We may or may not have stayed and watched you two kiss form behind a building." Kit laughed awkwardly. My face turned a darker red. "No we didn't!" I said and jumped onto my bed, throwing a pillow at them. "You saw nothing!" I yelled before turning off my lamp and going to sleep.
