A bright light hit my closed eyes and tried moving one of my hands to cover my eyes but I couldn't move it. After a few minutes I could make out two voices talking to each other. "I still don't see why you are holding her hand. The last time I checked she was my girlfriend." I heard Kovu say to someone. "Well you're the one who took her from me knowing full well I liked her." I heard another voice hiss back at Kovu. I peeked open my eyes and growled lightly at the bright light. Both boys turned toward me and the one I was thinking was Kovu's friend turned red. I also blushed and sat up. I pulled my hands away from their own hands and saw that I had bandages on them. I looked at them before looking at Kovu. "How's Storm-." I couldn't finished before I ended up coughing. "Sh, don't talk that way. You breathed in a lot of smoke last night, and Stormrunner's just fine." He soothed and I smiled. "Sorry for running into the fire.." I mumbled. "It's fine." He smiled. "The headmaster said that until your hands heal you can't ride Stormrunner." He informed. I sighed. "Ok.. Am I allowed to go back to my dorm at least?" I asked and he nodded. I stood up and looked at them. "Thank you two for watching me." I mumbled and walked out.

I walked out of the school and looked over at the burned barn. I looked around and walked over to a student who was helping to re-build it. "Excuse me but where are the horses at now?" I asked him. He stopped walking back to the barn and looked at me. "Hey your that stupid girl who almost died in the fire!" He exclaimed and I had to hold back my anger not to punch his face. "Yeah yeah almost died now tell me where they put the horses." I growled. He chuckled before finally he told me, "The teachers put all the horses from this barn into the pasture. When it's night they are going to put them in the second barn with the other horses buy they have to have two in each stall." He told me. "Thanks." I said and ran off to the pasture. Once there I jumped over the fence and looked around at the horses. I soon, after walking forever, found the dapple grey horse. I whistled three times and he trotted over. He sniffed my shirt which still had the faint scent of smoke. "Hey buddy." I smiled at the horse. "Are you ok?" I asked him. He snorted before nosing my hands. "I'm fine boy, really." I smiled, patting the side of his neck. I reached into my pocket and took out some small packets of sugar. I took them out and gave a few to Stormrunner. "They say I can't ride you for a while but who cares about rules." I said and pulled myself onto his back and grabbed a bunch of his mane. "Lets go on our trail ride!" I giggled and we ran off. I heard someone yelling at me but I ignored it.

I was sitting under a tree, taking off the bandages from my hands. After I was done I stuffed the old bandages into my pocket. I was resting in the shade with Stormrunner eating grass beside me when Kit and Kat decided to scare the living day lights out of me. "Guys! I told you to stop scaring me!" I screeched, jumping up when they scared me. "Sorry but some random guy told us that you rode away on your horse." Kat explained. "I'm guessing it was Jason.." I mumbled. "Who's Jason?" They both said at the same time. "Dunno. Just met him when I woke up. So far I know his name is Jason, room-mates, also his friend I think, and he likes me." I said and when they looked confused at the last part. "When I woke up they were talking and I found that out." I explained. "What happened to your hand bandages?" Kit asked. "I took them off. They got annoying." I shrugged. "Well you have to put new ones back on when you go back, which is now." Kit said and stood up, grabbing my arm and pulling me up. "But I don't wanna go back!" I pouted when she dragged me back. Kat was leading Stormrunner after us. "And just to be sure that you put them on we're going to watch you." Kat added. I sighed and allowed them to drag me back.

1 Hour Later
I was walking through the place where the new barn was being made. I walked where Stormrunners stall would be and saw something laying on the ground just outside it. I bent down and picked it up to see what it was. When I did my eyes widened. It was a match. "Someone deliberately set this on fire." I mumbled to myself. I stood up and looked around the stables. I stood up and put the match in my pocket before walking to the dorm to show Kit and Kat.

Kit's POV
"What do you mean someone started the fire in the barn?" I asked Yumi. "I found a match on the ground! One that was lit too!" She explained and held up the used match. "How can a little thing like that start a fire?" Kat asked. "Trust me I know it can make a giant fire. I almost burned down the house once." Yumi laughed akwardly. "What?!" I yelled. "Sorry!" Yumi giggled. "How about we talk about this tomorrow." I told them. Yumi sighed but nodded. "Alright." She said and we all went to sleep.
